I used this tape on my door edges. As can be seen in the photo I start a little above the door handle and go downward. This is thicker, more heavy duty, than the normal US product I use, but it is so far of a higher quality and a better door edge protector. It goes on very easy and can be (slightly) repositioned very easily AT FIRST! After an hour or so you just need to rip off, clean the area and reapply the product. It will adhere that well. It is hardly noticeable outdoors on a sunny day (or any other time) so far. No yellowing or discoloration.

Here are the pros and cons-- Pros: thick, tough, tacking adhesive, clear Cons: hard to cut with scissors, hard to move once placed, inflexible in some directions This is great for straight line applications, but not for 3 dimensional curves. The thickness (a plus for durability) works against trying to shape the product. Think of this more like sheet metal and less like sheet rubber. If you need to move the material, each removal and reapplication loses significant tackiness. Bubbles do work out. Scissors will stick when cutting. Utility knife will work, but you need to work on a slick surface. I put a sacrifice strip on a cutting surface so I could peel the film off without ruing the adhesive.

I purchased this tape for application on my vehicle door sills. One vehicle is a 2022 and the other is a 2015. The tape did not adhere well to the plastic (polypropylene) surface. I have left the tape in place to see if the adhesion will improve. After having left this tape in place including on some curved surfaces it has adhered very well. Initially I felt that the tape didn’t grab to the surface however that was not the case. This tape once in place has performed exceptionally well.

This tape is very thick and will offer good protection but unfortunately is not easy to mold around curved areas not even with the use of a heat gun. So if you are planning of using it on flat surface without any curve along the way it will give you an excellent protection otherwise is not flexible enough to be stretched and be molded. Unfortunately it didn't work for me and I had to return it.

When I bought a new car I was looking for something to protect the doors from scuff marks. My previous car had so many from where my feet would hit the door upon exiting. I was worried when I purchased this that it would do damage to my car but it’s easy to install and easy to remove or adjust as need be. Appearance wise: It blends in because it’s clear so you pretty much forget that it’s there. It doesn’t peel (unless you want to remove it), it has the ideal thickness, and the quality is great. Well worth the investment.
