worked
my treadmill manufacturer told me I needed non-silicone lube and gave me part # 219167. this is what showed up when I searched by that #. I have no idea if this is silicone or non-silicone but it did the job quite nicely. my treadmill was making an awful noise when it was turned on, it made the noise whether I was on it or not which made me think it was the motor. called the manufacturer who told me to try lube first. I didn't think the lube was going to solve the problem but it did. it's very quiet now. keep in mind it may take a few times of running the treadmill before the noises stop. I'm satisfied with the lube.

Just read description more carefully than I did
It's good lubrication, no doubt. But, it is a tiny amount! My bad for not reading thoroughly! You would need two of these (at least) for one lubrication event, so it's pretty expensive. Also, not easy to distribute under the belt.

I came across an article that recommended trying to lube the belt so I found this ...
We were having problems with our treadmill as it kept stopping while we were walking on it. We were just about to shop for a new one because as it was older, we didn't want to invest money in having it repaired. I came across an article that recommended trying to lube the belt so I found this Icon (a reputable brand) Belt Lube and thought I'd try it since it was so reasonably priced. It worked !!! In fact, it worked so well that I ended up purchasing another one to have on hand. Shipping was quick, the product worked great and I saved myself a bundle of money in potential repairs and/or replacement.

Lubricant for NordicTrack Treadmill
Our 2003 NordicTrack APEX 6100xi Treadmill started to make some pretty awful screeching noises in 2010. This built up to a level where we had to do something about it. We thought it could be a lubrication problem and found we should only use their special lubricant. We found this ICON lubricant (ICON makes NordicTrack treadmills) and ordered it from Amazon. It arrived fairly quickly. Amazon was a nice deal since we could use free super saver shipping and other places wanted to charge a lot for shipping. The package included instructions on how to apply the lubricant. That went pretty well. Unfortunately we DID NOT NEED lubricant. The sound did not go away. After playing with the walking belt a bit more we found it was rubbing against the front right end of the walking board. I loosened the belt and found the plastic cover on the walking board was cracked on the corner and when the walking belt ran over that corner it would make the plastic vibrate and as you speed up it gets louder and louder! The lubricant seems fine, but I wanted to write this review in case someone else runs into a similar noise problem on their treadmill. Check all over to see if something is rubbing or vibrating. The real key to finding this noise was when I ran the treadmill with the walking belt loose so it didn't move. Then as I tightened the belt the noise slowly came back. When the belt was moving but too loose to walk on, I found that if I lifted up the belt slightly the sound would go away (with the belt still moving). But this only worked in one location. That's when I loosened the belt all the way and checked the walking deck underneath. For this NordicTrack it looks like I might be able to get a new walking board for $110 from Sears parts or $200 from TreadmillDoctor. I've not looked into it very much yet as I'm hoping I can repair the existing cover rather than shell out for an $100 piece of plywood that is covered by plastic.

Performant Lube
I purchased two tubes of this and so far have used one. This stuff is great. My treadmill was overheating and the belt was slipping, after about 40 minutes the treadmill would shut itself down to prevent overheating. I put on one tube of Performant lube and the treadmill is running great...has not overheated nor has the belt slipped. My son will spend about 40 min to an hour running and the treadmill has not overheated once since I used this stuff. I will definitely purchase this again.

works great
this is not advertised to help with the drive belt it is for lubricating the walking belt to help keep down noise and free motion of treadmill walking belts, it also keeps the belts from drying out cracking and or deteriorating, the first 2 reviews on here are from uninformed people, this product is made specifically for icon fitness treadmills which include : proform, nordictrack, reebok, healthrider and many other good brand name products

Three Stars
Product itself works fine. However, installing on the belt via the tube is difficult and messy.

Easy to apply with roller
I found the perfect applicator! I use a NEW small diameter (3/4") paint roller. The handle is long enough to reach completely under the belt. I put a quarter of the lube on the roller and do one side form center to edge, then one quarter on the other side from center to edge, covering as much of the platform as possible. I then manually advance the belt half way through its travel and repeat the process with the remaining one half of lube. Store the roller in a zip lock bag for the next application.
