I've used them in everything from 30" of powder to 1 ft of slushy snow and I am really impressed. The traction and float that these shoes give you is incedible.I also bought the tails which helped out a lot in the fluffy stuff. My pair definitely show some scratches and wear but they have yet to give me any issues. The only downside I found was that the original toe straps wouldn't fit over my size 13 boots. I ordered the replacement strap kit and used the longer heal straps in place of the toe straps and that eliminated the issue. I would definitely reccomend these to anyone looking for a durable snowshoe to use in varying terrain. Review: Very nice snowshoes! - Very easy to use and comfortable to wear . I was a little worried about the ratchet system that binds the snowshoes to the boots being susceptible to ice and not working properly. I've used the snowshoes several times where the ratchet system have gotten coated in ice and have had no problems with them breaking free from the ice to either tighten the snowshoes up or too take them off. Keep in mind that the ratchet system isn't exactly user friendly with gloves on, so you will have to expose your fingers and hand to cold weather when putting them on or taking off. The bindings did not become lose so no re-adjustment was needed.
