Just WOW...buy this!
I bought this for my daughter and I to complete our culinary trip to Japanese cuisine for the weekend. I do not like cherry or vanilla particularly...my daughter does though so this was the point. However, I am IN LOVE with this! I made my daughter a milk and sakura powder latte with a spoon of Splenda first. It has a VERY floral scent to it and beautiful pink color. The taste and the smell aren't far off from each other either. Once she took a sip her eyes shot open and she chugged it asking for another. Curious at this reaction, I took a sip of the second one so I could have a try :) My first reaction was confusion...as far as I could tell, this was composed of cherry, perfume, food coloring, and vanilla from a glance and sniff...but what hit my tastebuds was one of the most interesting, delicious, and surprising flavors I have ever experienced. I quickly set my barista background to creating something more my speed. I shot 8 oz of Pete's Major Dickenson Blend and a spoon of Splenda in my cup, then frothed milk with two spoons of this Sakura powder in it. PLEASE TRY THIS, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR WORLD!!! Cherry & Vanilla flavor, perfume smell, bright pink color, yet even my boyfriend proudly requests this on the weekends and raves about the pink flower lattes I make to his friends! All I can say is that I researched for the right powder, and this is the first and last stop...I fear for my well-being if I do not keep it on hand for my family, LOL! One other note, we also made Dango while stretching our culinary wings...the 3 colors of spring call for Green (matcha), White (nothing), and pink (Sakura). We used this powder for the pink one, and were not disappointed, however, you may want to wear gloves as the pink stains. I would also add a spoon full of sugar, it has a sweetness to it but it won't stand alone well.

A good different
So, my first sip of this resulted in me thinking it just tasted like milk... I could taste *something* with the milk but couldn't pinpoint a flavor. I've never had sakura before in any form so it is very different. I did my measurements fine and I prefer milk over water in my drinks. I had only a small glass, so I continued drinking. I decided to just relax and just casually keep sipping it and realized it's simply a light taste! By the time I reached the bottom of my cup I wanted more! Yes, it isn't super strong. But even my super picky autistic brother actually liked it! My mom had been eating salsa chips and then drank some, which I don't recommend because she kept hassling me about adding more powder... She just couldn't taste it with spicy food. To say I flavor... It's like a really light, sweet strawberry flavor.

Hot Sakura mix good! Orange creme? Bad.
Super duper love the Sakura Latte mix. Probably one of my favorite drink mixes of all time. The smell is a little odd, but I'm assuming it's from the mixture of what's in it. The taste is extremely sweet, but I'm a sweet person so I really enjoyed it. It mixes well and needs no added sugar, and I use almond milk with it to seal the deal and it goes together well. It's a tad expensive in my opinion, but most specialty mixes are. The product you are given lasts pretty long so I think it's worth it. I also bought the orange creme mix as well, and that one I would give 1 of 5 stars. Barely mixes, if you do it the way of the directions on the package, it gets a nasty gritty texture to it. Doesn't even mix well in water. Would not recommend the "cold" drink mixes from this brand, since they turn super gritty and have a kind of slimy feel to them. The warm mixes are fantastic though!

Tasty but floral
I say this is a good way, it tastes like perfume smells, sweet and floral. I've never had Sakura flavored drinks or sweets before and this is definitely an experience. My first impression was that it tasted pink. Like the essence of pink 😆. I used to think pepto bismo was the essence of pink but this changed my mind. The first time I tried this, I didn't immediately hate it, but i also didn't immediately say this is great either. I tried it again and honestly the flavor grew on me and I enjoyed it more the more I tried it. It does take at least two table spoons of mix for a 16oz drink, I usually put the mix in with 300ml of boiling water and then pour it over ice. It comes out great👍. All in all I don't know how accurate it is to Sakura flavorings, but I do like this product and would recommend it.

If pink was a flavor
So I'll admit Sakura is a hit and miss for me and I still cant tell if this drink was a hit or a miss. The best way to describe the flavor is pink. Like the flavor of the color pink. It has a slight sweetness that at first is very pleasant with a chalky aftertaste that just isn't as nice. So far I have made the drinks hot, made them cold, added a verity of sweeteners, added a few different types of milk and each time I can enjoy one or two sips before the chalky aftertaste makes me put the drink down and not want to pick it up again. Its one of those drinks that is really good for a sip or two then just disappointment after that. I wish there was an option to buy the powder in smaller amounts as I've made about 2 gallons worth of drinks and I'm still stuck with half a bag of pink powder. So over all its not bad, its just not good.

Just buy it. It's amazing!!!
I was craving sakura flavors and took a chance with this. I am hooked for life!!! It is so delicious with a sweet, flowery, fruity flavor that's so unique and you won't want to put it down! It dissolves best in hot liquid and especially great with milk and whipped cream! I have successfully mixed it into other fun things for flavor as well! Little Sakura cookies?? Sakura pudding?? Try it in anything you want to turn it pink and sweet! I recommended it to a friend as well and she can't get enough either. Well worth the price for a specialty drink and you get plenty of scoops to try it many different ways!
