I have a 18X22 inground pool and have for years used the large "filter grids" type, which finally wore out. This replacement works excellent as my replacement, and much easier to "clean the filter"!!! Price was good too, compared to the $800-1200 grid type! Easy to install. Remember that in many cases of filter placement, it behoves you to put a one way flow valve... keeps water in the filter to start pumping upon turning on!

This is trash. It broke apart one year after purchase. I had to recover the one I had replaced and threw this away

As many have stated in reviews across the web these units XtremrpowerUS cartridge filter units rupture, blow water all over flooding back yards and emptying pools. This happens due to substandard materials and malfunctioning pressure relief valves. Mine split across the top about 20” and had it not been for my backyard Ring Camera I may have had an empty pool that’s about 28,000 gallons. These units have a long history of poor quality and failing structurally. A $700 piece e of junk that could cost you thousands in so many ways. And the SELLER ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT stand behind these units past 30 days. 1 year—“forget about it” My Hayward system lasted 20 years and while the price nearly tripled in 20 years it’s built to industry standards for quality and more importantly SAFETY! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY XTREMESPORTSUS POOL FILTER SYSTEMS.

We got this pool filter and upgraded from a much smaller filter. So far it's been well worth the money. I have cut the hours that I run the filter by more than half and the pool is cleaner than ever. Installation was pretty easy, once we figured out how to angle the pipes. It took some creative thinking due to the space we had to work in but my husband got the install done in a few hours. I haven't had to clean the filters yet and we've had it over a month. Also, my automatic pool vacuum works 100% better with this new filter! Overall, we're very happy with this purchase.

Installing was breeze. It claims to be rated for 35K gallons but the filter clogs pretty quick, having to clean at least once a week, now the o-ring doesn't seal. I've cleaned the o-ring, lubricated the o-ring with no success. Now I have a drip and a wet spot that never dries. This product might have made 9 months at best. Also bleeding the air out is a pain. I should have spent the extra money and bought a quality product. I don't recommend.

I upgraded my failed 75 sqft inground pool filter for this 200 sqft filter. Excellent price, delivery faster than promised. Product seemed good out of box, convenient top half removal, filter element supplied seems to work well but noticed cloudy pool first day but it cleared up. There is a big problem installing. I followed the instructions to use teflon tape, hand tighten then one more turn for 2 inch MPT supply and return fittings. They leaked, turns out the female theaded ports are tapped too large and the pipe fitting does seal before going in to the max the fitting allows. Looks like they planned for an O-ring fitting or non-pipe thread. After five tries I got it to stop leaking. Use better than normal tape that is thicker, apply about 20 wraps until threads are almost smooth, make sure you can still see threads when tightened. Only plumb with a union close on each line. Expect multiple tries. Filter cross Unicel C-8420.

Bought this for 10,000 gallon in ground pool does amazing!

It Cracked and all the water comes out. Total Loss. Contacted the seller and said out of warranty It was only 1 year and 2 months and it should last longer
