**Q: How long are each of the times?**
A: The time can vary case by case depending on how fast the water boils. That is why boiling eggs by counting seconds was always a hit or miss game. On the other hand, because the color of the egg timer changes based on water temperature, the egg timer delivers consistent results. For hard boiled eggs, as Michelle mentioned, just take the eggs out when the egg timer turns white. We recommend leaving hard-boiled eggs to cool at room temperature. **Q: What type of plastic is used on this?**
A: The material used is high quality polyresin blend, resistant to high temperatures, made for compliance to FDA standards and EU standards for food-contact materials. Additional lab testing was conducted to confirm that the material does not contain any BPA, BPS or BPF. Hope this is helpful.

**Q: How long are these expected to last? A couple months or a couple years?**
A: We expect NobleEgg Egg Timer Pro to last several years. This version was released in September 2019. During this period, we have had only a few reports about egg timers splitting along the seam line. This may be due to a hidden defect or not following the directions. However, all those customers that contacted us and some of those that we managed to contact via feedback, have received replacements. If you are having issues with your NobleEgg Timer(s), please reach out to us through direct messaging/email and we will send you a replacement. Otherwise we rarely can contact a customer via their feedback only.

**Q: I boil my eggs in the microwave. I’m assuming this won’t work for that, will it?**
A: You will not be able to see the egg timer when boiling eggs in the microwave oven. The egg timer does not produce any alarm sounds. You have to visually observe when the color changes to the desired marking to stop the cooking process. We did not design the egg timer to work in the microwave. Moreover, because a microwave works by a different principle and cooks an egg differently, we doubt that the egg timer would be accurate in this particular case.

This is an updated review after I exchanged the egg for a different one. The first one I had did not accurately work but customer service was amazing and helped me exchange it for a different one- and it works perfectly. I had seen so many positive reviews on this egg and thought I had to have it. I have a gas stove and the cooking time on hard boiled eggs to be the way we all like to eat them seems to vary depending on the day, weather, whatever. It was a pain to do the guess and check method all the time, and a waste of some eggs (which the dogs loved, haha). Using the egg timer took a lot of the guess work out. We like our eggs very hard boiled so I just leave them in a couple minutes past the time the egg turns all the way colored and they are perfect every time. I also found that if I do them in smaller batches (6-8) the timer is much more accurate! I'm so happy I gave it a second try because it is super helpful, not to mention cute! I would recommend this timer to anyone who cooks hard boiled eggs, it takes the guess work out of cooking so you get perfect eggs every time no matter what style of hard boiled eggs you prefer. The customer service is wonderful, emails were always responded to within 12-24 hours and they are easy to understand. They truly want to make sure you have a positive experience.
