I recently purchased this CamelBak Kids Water Bottle for my two year old son, and it has quickly become our go-to water bottle. Here are some of the reasons why we love it: First and foremost, I appreciate that it's NOT made of plastic. We're working hard to eliminate plastic from our household, and finding a high-quality, stainless steel option was important to us. This water bottle fits the bill perfectly. One of the standout features is its insulation. It keeps my son's water cold for many hours, even during his long days and outdoor activities. No more complaints about warm water on hot days! The leak-proof design is a game-changer. We've had too many instances with other bottles leaking in his backpack, but the CamelBak Eddy+ has proven to be truly leak-proof. I can confidently pack it without worrying about any spills. It's also dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning a breeze. As a busy parent, the convenience of being able to toss it in the dishwasher is invaluable. Lastly, my son absolutely loves the bright colors and fun designs available. It’s not just a functional item; it’s something he enjoys using every day. Overall, the water bottle has exceeded our expectations in every way. This bad boy has been my now 2yr Olds primary cup for the last year and we love it! It is extremely sturdy and reliable, definitely worth the price. Does not leak when the top is closed. The rubber mouth piece is easily cleaned with a small wire brush, and also easily replaceable after lots of use. My son is able to open and close the top all by himself, and loves the handle to carry it around himself. It fits great in diaper bag and back pack pockets, and car seat cupholders. It keeps ice cold wonderfully as well. It's mainly been handle washed and the pictures haven't faded, but there are few places it has chipped. Tho the cup has been well loved and dinged, the overall functionality has never faltered. I highly recommend this product.

My 14-month-old uses this bottle daily, and it made switching from bottles a breeze a few months ago. It’s insulated, keeping his drinks (even milk!) nice and cold throughout the day. Unlike other toddler bottles we’ve tried, it genuinely doesn’t leak when open—unless it’s thrown or dropped, then it might splatter a bit. The straw and bite valve are easy for him to use independently, and it’s durable enough to handle typical toddler adventures and drops. I also appreciate that the pieces come apart completely and are dishwasher-safe, making cleanup easier. The variety of colors and fun patterns makes it fun for him to use, and easy for us to identify his cup out and about. It fits perfectly in a diaper bag, stroller, and other cupholders. Highly recommend as an everyday toddler bottle!

Update: The Eddy+ kids is a great spout design and I’m so sad that didn’t incorporate it into their new thrive design. The Thrive top is shorter, harder and more awkward to bite (because it’s shorter), and appears less durable that this one. I wish Camelbak would make this spout with the new handle. Original update: It’s a good kids water bottle and I like it a lot better than the plastic version. I like the kids cap better than the adult version because the kids version can be fully taken apart for cleaning. I chose to remove the plastic tab that covers the air valve to make it more hygienic. I used a small flat head screw driver to pop it off. Surprisingly, this cap can fit on a kids Hydroflask bottle. It doesn’t screw on as smoothly but it does work. I regret buying a white cap because my kindergartner always gets it dirty. There are spots that are slightly discolored that I can’t seem to scrub out. It would be nice if the bottle had a straw that wasn’t plastic (stainless steel or silicone would be my preference and it would be a bonus if it came with a silicone boot. Some people will complain about kids chewing up the valves but that is the payoff for having a soft spout. They do sell replacement packs.

Cute design that keeps your water cold for a long time. Take a beating from a 6 year old to and from school daily without issue. Durable, easy to take apart and clean (mom’s you know how important that is).

Fabulous quality, sold, definitely leak proof and keeps liquids cool. Four stars- when drinking (sucking) it makes the most obnoxious noise! The only way to prevent the air noise while drinking is to unscrew the cap. I made the hole bigger and that didn’t work either. I bought this for myself and there’s no way I can drink with the lid closed around others. There’s got to be a vent somewhere that I can’t find.

After a year of almost daily *rough* toddler use, this water bottle has held up great! It has been to daycare almost daily, dropped more times than I can count and gone through the dishwasher after every use. It is dented and the planet design is a little scratched up, but for the purpose of holding water without leaking, keeping water cold in the summer, and not breaking after a month of use (looking at you Target water bottles), it is worth it. For the dishwasher, the mouthpiece, lid, bottle and straw all separate. The silicone gasket that prevents leaks still works and has no mold growth that I have noticed. Granted, I have never removed the gasket to check and we are pretty diligent about letting it dry out. I did replace the valve/mouth piece recently, but that is expected normal wear and tear. Added plus, the mouth pieces and straws are easily replaceable and can be used with the plastic Eddy water bottles (which I also highly recommend). The metal ones are on the pricey side, but I would buy it again without hesitation.

Got this for my one year old nephew who keeps drinking out of my camelbak—it is the perfect size for him. It’s easy for him to carry and get his hands around. I also haven’t seen it leak yet, which is impressive because of the beating it takes. Easy to clean, too.
