This is a really great shower head! We bought it for our shower because we have a 20 month old daughter, and we thought it would be easier to bathe her with a handheld shower head. This shower head is GREAT, because it requires no compromises - it works fantastically as a normal shower head, providing great water pressure and coverage. It's also very attractive. It also works well as a handheld device, which is what we wanted it for.As far as I can tell, it cannot be used as is in a split fashion, i.e., with both a fixed shower head and this hand held one. It is a replacement for your current shower head. And honestly, you don't really need a fixed shower head with this -- it works really well on its own. That said, perhaps there is some kind of splitter you can buy to keep both options available.

Easy installation and looks well made. The flow is not very strong however, and the stronger settings still don't provide a real pounding massage feel.

In case you were confused like I was by the product description that says this is a metal (& chrome colored) shower wand, it's actually plastic. It is chrome colored. Looks nice for a plastic handset, except for the cheesey anti kink plastic /rubber cord (see pic). Returned.

The Showerarm mount in the set has water leaks after installation and could not be adjusted. I need to contact manufacturer for warranty part needed to fix the leaks although the product is brand new out of the original packaging.

I'm not thrilled with this handshower. It has a real cheap feel, probably because it is all plastic. The hose is stiff, so it doesn't hang straight. I chose it for the name brand, but apparently even Hansgrohe produces some cheap junk. The water flow is pretty unimpressive, too. It is for my guest bathroom which is only used a few times a year, so it should last for a while. Unfortunately, with products like this that are so intricately packaged, it is such a hassle to try and repackage it to send back, so I will keep it. I would not recommend.

I have purchased several shower heads over the last few years. This one is by far the best. I absolutely love it. The only mistake I made was to remove the flow restricters. There are a couple of them in this system and I just removed them by default because I always have had to before. Not for this one. I wish I had left them in but if this one wears out I'll buy the same thing again but leave them in. I was skeptical because I had high hopes for other shower heads I'd used and paid a little more for but this one is definitely worth the money. Such a comfortable spray. It is plastic but good quality and I realized they are basically all plastic to keep the weight down. All the fittings and components are good quality too.

I've only had this a few days, but it was super easy to put on and I really like it. It sits high, so tall people will like it. The 3 pressures are good, its got a nice size spray spread without being too spread out. The regular spray feels really nice. I took out the little metal filter thingy that makes the water pressure less, so I'm really happy with it. I live in a place with super hard water, so over the years I've gone through a lot of shower heads and I usually buy in the $25-$40 range. But because its German-made, I bit the bullet on this one and I'll see if its worth it after a while regarding how quickly it clogs. But for now I am super pleased. When I travel to Germany, I always love the brilliance of their bathroom fixtures and I don't know why we can't make quality stuff like this in the US.

nicely made. works well. downside is that it is kind of heavy and big to maneuver.
