Hand Forged Katana Sword(Bohihyu Sword) Blank Blade, 1095 (T10) Carbon Steel/Damascus Folded Steel,Heat Tempered/Clay Tempered, Handmade Grinding, Functional,Full Tang and Sharp Edge

This katana blade was delivered way ahead of schedule, it looks outstanding and is well worth the money. The only issue was that above the back of the Habaki where it fit’s against the mune,, it was not fitting very well as it wasn’t ground or filed evenly in that spot. I was easily able to fix that issue with a file and now it fits exactly as it should. Also, it was shipped in a rough form shirasaya for safety purposes which I’ve planed and sanded into a nice clean looking piece.

The blade has no imperfections and looks beautiful. It was packaged in wood that can be used as a saya and tsuka and it also included a habaki. The seller was also incredibly helpful with my order and was able to answer all of my questions.

The tang area is extremely rusty, they sent with wooden handle glued to tange so you can not put the guard and other bits on!

I was expecting just the katana blade itself but it came with the tsuba and the tsuka. The tsuka was really small but I planned to make a custom one for it anyways. The hamon looks authentic not fake. I’m very happy with the katana. Definitely going to buy more from them!!!!

blade arrived today , it is absolutely a beautiful blade - exactly as described , the blade was packaged very well - arrived wrapped in oiled plastic , no rust - just shiny beautiful clay tempered steel , it will definitely be made into a wonderful battle tough katana

I purchased this 1095 blank blade to build my own katana.I read previous reviews and asked Bohihyu if the blade came with anything else. They said as shown, but it came with black lacquer saya,copper habaki, and 11” tsuka that I was not even expecting seeing as I had purchased all three of those separate now I’m going to have to purchase another blade.,lol. Definitely going with the 1095. I’ve ordered a lot from Bohihyu recently and they are awesome. With a little metal and woodwork everything fits well and make a strong ,very light katana. 2.4lbs. Without saya. The tsuba,kashira,and fuchi did not come with the blade. Those are mine from another order also from Bohihyu. The hamon is real and comes fairly sharp.
