Brachs Mellowcreme Pumpkins, 40oz Total

These are a very expensive version of candy corn. I purchased these because I was looking for a candy specifically in a pumpkin shape for decorating sugar cookies. The candies themselves are larger than expected and I sliced them in half so that I would have a flat side to stick to the cookies. While they did serve the purpose for which I purchased them somewhat satisfactorily (they didn't slice cleanly), I wasn't sure what the "mellowcreme" flavor would taste like prior to purchasing them. It turns out that "mellowcreme" is the flavor of candy corn. Also, given the fact that it is candy corn disguised in a pumpkin shape, it was very expensive for what would think would be a very inexpensive product to make considering the ingredients involved. Perhaps the fact that this is probably a seasonal item contributed to the steep price. While I'm not a fan of candy corn, if you like candy corn and you need a pumpkin shaped candy, then you will probably like this item. However, I think most of these candies landed in the trash as guests eliminated them from the cookie prior to eating them.

There is a reason why these are seasonal. The candies in the package I got are a little stale, even if the expiration date is May 2020. Disappointed.

While the flavor was great; the soft texture they advertised not so much! These both bags hard as rocks! I was very disappointed!
