I purchased the DampRid fragrance-free moisture absorber to help control humidity in a small bathroom, and it's been very effective at reducing condensation and preventing mildew. The activated charcoal not only helps absorb excess moisture but also neutralizes musty odors, so the air smells much fresher after just a couple of days. Setting up the tubs is straightforward; just remove the lid and place them in a closet, cabinet or under a sink and they work continuously without needing any power. Each container lasts several weeks depending on how damp your space is, which makes them a low-maintenance solution for keeping mold and mildew at bay. The only caveat is that the water that collects inside can spill if the cup gets knocked over, so I make sure to keep them out of the way, but overall they're an affordable and effective way to manage moisture and odor problems around the house.

A huge amount of water had spilled in our trunk and the car started to smell (even though it had dried) we bought these and it sucked up all the water that we couldn't see. Musty smell is now gone.

I have used these for years. This batch did not have the safety seal on any of the 3. I reached out to Damprid by email and here is there response. “ Thank you for reaching out, we do direct sale to some amazon sellers. We customize our fg100 Damprid containers without a safety seal to prevent activation during transit, which should be in the description for all sellers. Please reach out to an amazon customer service agent to process a refund. Our local retail stores will carry the product with the safety seal on. We apologize for any inconvenience.”. So then this makes it a safety issues for kids, pets, etc…. If there is NO SAFETY SEAL! I than called the DampRid phone number and was told other reasons why they send out with no safety seal. “There are people who insist on only buying it with no safety seal.” After several minutes of questions on both sides. I asked if there was just a mistake during production and they are not willing to admit and we lose our money. They stated that they will send me 3 coupons to replace with 3 damp rids from a store. They warned me that Amazon is the only place that has dampRid for sale with no safety seal. My recommendation if that is true, do not purchase these from Amazon.

I moved into an old apartment with a very musty dank under-sink smell that permeated the entire kitchen and even wafted out into the hall. Within 4 days the odor was reduced significantly so only a faint whiff is detectable at the sink area when the cabinet doors are open. It filled up with water within about 3 months and I've replaced it.

A must have to keep closers dry and moth free
