Engineering Company B12 B-Line Manual Cartridge Caulking Gun, 1/10 Gallon (10 oz), 12:1 Drive

I bought this for a project where we could be caulking ~100 12' long shiplap boards with construction adhesive. This handled the project with ease. My father, who hung drywall for decades, even commented "I wish I'd had a nice caulk gun like this when I was hanging board!" So a few comments - first, I wouldn't use the "poker" that's hidden inside the grip area. It's too close to the grips, and unless you're careful about wiping it off, it will get your grips messy. This goes for pretty much every caulk gun though, I almost never use the poker. The caulk gun plunger also can be disassembled for cleaning, which I found to be a nice feature. I haven't done this yet, but plan to see how that works one the project is complete. And a last note - this is for the larger (1/4 gallon / 1 qt) tubes of caulk, sometimes referred to as contractor size. These hold quite a bit of material, so if you're just doing a small project, you probably want a smaller caulk gun.

I own something like this but wanted to get a better quality caulking gun for my Son-in-law. This caulking gun far exceeded my expectations for quality! If you are looking for a very great quality caulking gun look no further. This is "Top Shelf" and I don't think you can find a better one anywhere!

Why use a little caulk when a big Caulk will be better?? I bought this for my huge calks that I use in the driveway! It handles the hugest caulks with ease and shortens the job. Heavy duty! Great construction...perfect caulk gun!

My biggest regret with this caulk gun is that I waited so long to buy it! Instead I squeezed my cheap Home Depot gun thousands of times to get any sort of caulk out on multiple projects with multiple types of caulk. (It had obviously slowly degraded over time and just wasn't all that great to begin with.) This is an incredible tool. The action is very smooth. It's easy to dispense a very consistent bead of caulk. The grip is comfortable. The only thing that it's missing (that my cheap Home Depot gun had) is a tool to break the seal on a new tube of caulk. I'd highly recommend it!

This product was recommended to me by a friend who is a professional caulker. I do enough caulking to know a 10 dollar gun isn't going to last. I caulk a lot of masonry control joints for my job and that is why I purchased this particular model. The ratio on this unit will make the job easier on the hand, especially applying materials in colder temperatures. The unit seems solidly constructed, though I haven't used it yet. I was told it will perform like a much more expensive caulking gun.

Very solid and quality built. Works on regular silicone or caulking (like Alex) tubes. Other reviewers were completely right about it's quality. I've seen it sold by high end building supply stores.
