What are the ingredients in the soaps? Most importantly, do they include shea butter?

They do not contain shea butter. The primary ingredients are water, sorbitol, glycerin and essential oils. They lather very well and leave softer skin and a long lasting fragrance (scent is NOT overpowering). My husband loves them. Hope this helps!

can I get 4 of just the sandalwood?

I don't believe so. It comes as the set of the 4 different scents

Which diameter bowl should be purchased for using these? I see a 3 in. and a 3.5 in bowl by Viking.

Each puck has a 70mm diameter, which is a little more than 2.7 inches. The 3 inch cup should be sufficient, but some prefer the greater clearance of a 3.5 inch cup in order to build a lather on the side. I use an off brand shaving bowl with a 72mm diameter at the opening, which I believe was designed around the Van Der Hagen shaving soap. That lasted me a solid year and I decided to try something different. Luckily this one fit the cup, more or less.

Is the glycerin coconut based?
