The other L-lysine that I was taking was a great big pill. This is an easy to take capsule. I love it.

I am totally confident in Lysine product. I take 1 supplement daily. If I feel a cold sore coming on, I take 4 pills until I know the cold sore is not growing any longer (about 4 days) and that stops it in its tracks! Although, I have read that if a cold sore is coming on you should take extra dosages for a week, however, a shorter time frame works for me.

Love this product. Was a bit more than others but works way better. I had been taking 1000mg with another brand and because of the better quality I now only take 500.

Only 4 stars because... 1- only 50 caps in a jar means subscribe and save ordering is more difficult. 2- wish it cost less 3- I've been using this product for almost a year and seems the product consistency is iffy. There have been a few bottles that don't seem to have been as effective. Of course, there is no way for me to test the ingredients. All I have is empirical evidence. My experience... I started using this as a nerve support when I was withdrawing from a prescription medication to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms. I believe it did help with the withdrawal symptoms. I continued on the product afterwards as a nerve, calcium, and collagen support for my genetic collagen disorder. I noticed that when I run out, anxiety attacks return and my nerves symptoms get worse and there is a dormant cold sore that starts to flare up. As for helping with collagen and skin, I don't notice any difference.

All looks great until we read the back ingredients with a play on words "vegetable magnesium sterate". I ordered when I was tired and this escaped my eyes. Any mag sterate is controversial, not good for the body. I am over the top careful with added nasty ingredients. This vege mag sterate is same as it's sister mag sterate which is a flowing agent, anti sticking for machinery, benefiting large production.

I appreciate that this is a good quality supplement from a trusted company.
