Standard Bike Hoist

This works well and is easy to use once installed. We have 6 full size bikes that were taking up half our garage space, and now they hang nicely above our heads and out of the way. The pulley system is easy to use, even for our 11-year-old daughter. She can get her bike down and put it back up whenever she wants to use it. It's the best solution we've come across ever! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I bought 3. This product was a great help with organizing our garage. I do trust the product however I put in a backup support to hold the bikes up just in case the string breaks or slips. The bikes are above our cars so I sleep better with my backup plan. This is a great product. Pretty easy to lower and raise the bikes. My wife my not agree if she ever had to raise or lower her bike which is heavy. No worries it is my job anyways.

As others have indicated- don't waste your time with the provided screws. They are too soft!! Other than that, the hoist works very well.

I was able to connect these to studs in the way that I placed them in my garage. Fairly simple to install. I have very high ceilings, so it worked well. Love having these bikes that are rarely used out-of-the-way. Very easy to pull them up. Might want to wear gloves letting them down as the rope can burn your fingers if you let it down too fast. Several years ago I tried ones that hooked on the wall and they did not work as well. Would highly recommend these for the $.

Very easy to install. I didn’t use the supplied screws to install the mounts. I used lag bolts.The rope seems a little cheap. I may upgrade it in the future. But I’ll see how this one holds out first.Overall great bike mount for the money.

With these, I was able to hang my bikes over my car and clear up much needed garage floor space. They seem sturdy enough (though they don't include the necessary anchor bolts) and bikes are easy to get up and down. I haven't had any trouble with bikes falling or lowering when hung.

In a typical two car garage, like mine, you really don't have room for much more than your cars. Our garage was pretty well packed, even BEFORE we got our new mountain bikes. With them on the floor, we were constantly having to move them, just to get to other things like the lawn mower, etc. This two pack of Great Working Tools bike hoists solved the problem. Note: if you're not accustomed to doing this kind of installation, you might want to hire a handy man. But, this is in my 'wheel house'. The trick is to make sure you attach the hangers in ceiling joists. If the joists are not in a workable location, fasten some 1X6 cross members to the ceiling, between the joists. Then, mount the hangers to those members. Using the lift is simple. place the hooks under the seat and handle bars, hoist it up and tie it off to the included cleat. The whole set up is very well designed and made, with quality materials. Good purchase. Five stars.
