Some pro tips to install these good looking markers
So far so good, won't know about longevity for a while so we will see but the lights are bright and really show the license plate well to keep those pesky bears off your bumper. That said, the red markers on the back are a nice addition to help light up your bumper especially on bigger trucks so people don't creep too close. A few pro tips to make the installation go better/last longer: 1. Check to make sure your sockets are in good shape. The original Ford ones rot out after while and become less than ideal when trying to plug these into the sockets. You may have to clean out your original sockets or if they are really bad replace them. You can replace them with along with these tag lights from the same company that include the sockets themselves giving you a complete install package. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B082X18DQT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 2. BE WARY: For example, the Amazon lookup says this doesn't fit the 2012 Ford F-150 Heavy Duty. It in fact fits fine. Compare yours first and make a smart decision. Don't just believe Amazon one way or the other. Best to double check. 3. Use a little bit of dielectric grease on the connectors and around the base of the terminal where the rubber gasket is. Grease everything you can to help keep out condensation and help the bulbs last longer. Remember, dielectric grease is an insulator so do NOT over do it on the metal parts that need to connected (I.E. don't fill the socket plug full of grease so much so that the metal can't connect). The grease is to keep water out and itself does not conduct electricity. You can get some good grease here at a good price, I prefer this name brand Permatex because I know for sure it lasts a long time and doesn't fall apart or dry out like cheaper grease: https://smile.amazon.com/Permatex-22058-Dielectric-Tune-Up-Grease/dp/B000AL8VD2/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3045T81BMO5H5&keywords=Dielectric%2Bgrease&qid=1671676272&sprefix=dielectric%2Bgrease%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-3&th=1 4. On the F-150 and related trucks, you can reach up, under the bumper and get to the socket from behind if that's all you are replacing rather than trying to pop out the whole bulb assembly if you don't need to. It's super simple this way, and you an always go back and add the grease later if you need to. 5. Be careful when popping out the bulb assembly as you don't want to break the tangs that hold it in place. I find it easiest to pop out the nearest (most rearward) first, and then the one further forward on the truck (but farther away from you at the back) comes out easy. 6. To install the bulb housing and assembly, use the reverse order of point 5 above. Put the furthest forward one (the one farthest from you at the back of the truck) in first and you can then push or slightly depress the tang and push the remainder into place with ease without risking breaking anything on install. Youtube has some good installation videos of the Ford OEM housings when doing bumper changes and you can watch those if you get really confused how to take them out or install them without breaking anything.

Awesome Upgrade to OEM License Plate illumination lights
The mounts for license plate illumination lights on my 1999 Ford F-150 XLT truck had crumbled and cracked from 25 years of heat and cold. I found these new LED lamps, and they arrived the following day. Installation could not be any easier. The units were a perfect fit and snapped right into the existing holes in the truck's bumper. The wiring is plug-and-play and connects directly to the socket of the old bulb location. They are not polarity-sensitive. I used a little dab of dielectric grease on each plug, and they worked great. It is very bright, and I like the red illumination that people will see when I am on the road at night. It's worth every penny of these lights.

Great lights!
These led tail lights with the red accent lights are fantastic! Super bright, for sure, but if you have a red car or truck, these really make your vehicle stand out!! Very easy to install as well!

Bright light. Fast and easy install. Feels lightweight, not sure how they'll hold up.

Tight fit
Installed on a 1999 Ford Ranger it was a tight fit, but does work. Plug it in to the bulb socket. Super bright. Quick, easy, and cheap replacement part. Will buy again.

I have one word. BRIGHT! (Update)
I have a 06 F150 and these fit amazingly right into the factory hole. Wasn’t hard to put them in at all! However your experience may vary. These feel very sturdy, the brightness is AMAZING. I tested them to make sure they work and they do, I sealed them up very well with silicone, put them on and now hope they last! Very happy with my purchase. I will update this review if I have any issues. Please if you buy these, please seal them with silicone that way no water gets in them! Update: - bought in 2022, one just went out in 2024. Bought another set, still absolutely love these and think they are worth the money as long as you silicone them.

Bright
These are so bright they act as secondary reverse lights. Only issue is if you have a backup camera depending on where it is the brightness of these lights can make it hard to see through the camera as on my F150. I just used doubled sided tape and a piece of black plastic to block the light from my camera lens. They are bright and decorative. Bought a second pair for other truck.

Looks and works great. Now to see if it lasts.

The lights fit properly however it was not plug and play. I had to cut the connectors off on the lights and off my truck. Then solder the wires together. Once i did that they looked and worked great.

Product looks good but doesn’t last , had it in for only a week and was blowing fuses and then started melting at connection, not recommended and wouldn't buy this product again. Very cheaply made and wire falls off inside light
