Had Great experience with it for past 2 years.
It has been more than 2 years for me since i bought this cage at amazon for a great price, i decided to post a review for it now. It came in perfect condition. But it required good instructions to assemble it, anyhow it was assembled in 30 mins. Some of the parts required rubber mallet to fit the parts into right slots. After it was assembled it looked great and sturdy and heavy! (Note: some of the screws were missing in the assembly process but it is not a big deal.)I have been using this cage for my African Grey Parrot as a sleeping cage and to travel by car for long distances. the cage is very sturdy and its QUITE HEAVY! if you are trying to use this cage to move around the house a lot, then this is not the cage for you. this cage is heavy, but if you are able to lift it easily then its k. but for the people who cant lift heavy stuff all the time or old people, then you need to find a different cage, I have kept this cage at the same place in my house and i move it very occasionally unless required. After using it for 2 years constantly as a sleeping cage. My bird is quite safe and content in it for the whole night. It has a large space for her to play in and to attach a wooden perch or plenty of toys. the feeding bowls are amazing specially accessible from outside! the door is quite big to let her in and out. it also has a small door near the top and between the larger door but i do not use it and keep it closed. the small door maybe excellent for smaller types birds to let them in.This cage have taken enough abuse from my African Grey and it is still in EXCELLENT CONDITION for 2 years. looks new every time i clean it with water. I use dishwasher soap and soak it wet with water. So far no rusting in the cage or any breakage from my parrot bites. This cage came with a silver paint. i did not happen to use it at all. it might have been dried by now. but so far it looks totally new every time i give it a rinse.Pros: Sturdy, Heavy, Plenty of space for medium to large birds, you can fit different perches and toys, bottom grill and tray comes off smoothly, you can wash or soak it in water for easy clean, the food bowls has outside access with individual doors, and my bird does not sleep at night without it. i have a king cage for daytime.Cons: VERY HEAVY, my mom & sister cant lift it. You need someone to lift it for you if you cant do it yourself.Other than the heaviness of this cage, it will be a excellent one time investment for you. it is very sturdy and strong enough to handle rough use.PS: Sorry for the long post! One last thing is, this cage can become temporary housing if you are going out of town and you need someone babysitting your bird at a friends house. you don't need to move the big cage. just leave this cage with them. the food bowls are accessible from the outside for anyone to feed the parrot because they are nippy and can bite strangers if the bowls had inside access like the most travel cages do. Overall excellent buy and i had a great experience with it. worth the money. Thanks!

Pleasantly surprised!!
I bought a green cheek conure for our family for Christmas. Jack and the cage came to our home on December 24th!! Luckily we have a locked spare room, I managed to sneak both in undetected đ.As the day drew near I was completely panicked about how I was going to manage keeping it all a secret, I began to delve into the reviewsâŠneedless to say they seemed somewhat negative all around.I ended up having my 37 year old daughter help me assemble the cage( Iâm 55) I had read review after review about how heavy the cage is, and difficult it was going to be to assemble, I had a small hammer and rubber mallet at the ready expecting a disaster!đ«ŁWe opened the box and assembled the cage in 10 minutes without even reading the instructions!! Yes I used the rubber mallet to edge one side in, itâs designed that way to keep it together. I was also missing one spring, so I left the tiny door within the large door without it as I donât use that anyway and Jack loves his cage!! It is heavy, but that is due to the quality and sturdiness of the metal so I donât mind it at all.I was able to carry it myself down two flights of stairs at 3am when everyone was asleep and we all adore our new little guy â€ïž. Great, well made sturdy cageđ

Overall a great travel cage for the money for our Rose Breasted Cockatoo! However, a few critiques...
Pros:-This cage is very well built - very sturdy and solid. It is made much nicer than several at home (non-travel) cages I've seen. It is heavy, as other reviews have detailed, but I knew that when I made the purchase. I can see this fitting in perfectly with our travel needs.-We have a rose breasted cockatoo who fits in it nicely, and also really enjoys the perch on top.-Looks like a cage, so my bird loves it. This may seem redundant or simple, but I love that it looks like a mini version of my bird's cage. I tried saving money and making our own "travel carrier" for our bird using a small cat carrier and a perch, but my bird was scared to death of it. I tried training my bird how to use an Aviator harness so that I can take him on quick trips with me, and he's scared to death of that as well (a training work in progress, as I see it). Wanted to buy a Celltei Pak-o-bird, but they're too dang expensive, and I feel it wouldn't be good for multiple days of keeping a bird in it (not roomy enough). This travel "hotel" does the trick - small enough where I can take it traveling, but doesn't look scary for my bird. He hopped right on the top perch without a problem.-I also have Amazon Prime and it shipped in 1 day. Sometimes when you order it under "1 day shipping," say...on a weekend, it doesn't really ship in one day. I ordered this cage on a Sunday evening around 8 PM and it was literally on our doorstep the next morning by noon. If that's not fast shipping, I don't know what is!A few reasons why I didn't give the cage 5/5 stars:-A few of the connector parts to attach the cage sides together were slightly bent and made constructing the cage a little more difficult than expected. At one point my husband had to get some tools to bend pieces to where they were usable, and had to use a mallet to hammer the pieces together to get them to fit. Not ideal when trying to allow our bird to help us put the cage together so that he wouldn't be afraid of it.-More bent pieces were found when putting in the food and water bowl stands. Had to bend them to get them to fit, but now one steel bowl fits perfectly and doesn't move, whereas the other bowl doesn't fit just right and moves around and rattles slightly. Might make our bird scared to drink water.-Came with a nice rope perch that we were excited about, but the perch ends will not stay screwed on. Initially I thought that the plastic "bolts" that screw on were stripped, but turns out that they are slightly too large for the "nut" part of it, and do not stay firmly attached. Will have to throw away the rope perch, as this renders it useless.-Missing a spring. Not an important spring, mind you, but missing nonetheless. There is supposed to be a spring (according to the instructions) for the latch at the bottom that keeps the poop trays from sliding around, but alas...no spring. Is still pretty functional without the spring, but I can see the latch being too loose or popping out in the future.-The top perch is supposed to be "movable," in that you can lock it in its "tall" mode for when you need to carry it, and can lower it to make it more stable for when your bird is perching on it. Again, part of this is bent, so it makes moving the modes from tall to low difficult. I think we'll just keep it in tall/carrying mode all of the time since it's a hassle to change the height.**Overall, with how sturdy the cage is, I can see it lasting for several years and will be a great addition to our bird's cages for traveling purposes. The value is pretty good for the money, just a few little things that keep it from being a 5/5 rating.
