LEGO Technic 42110 Land Rover Defender, Maquette de Voiture a Construire, Idée Cadeau Jouet pour Enfant de 11 ans et +

I have a bunch of Technic Lego sets, everything from quite small to some 2,000+ pieces sets. Each new generation of Technic seems to improve. This is the best set I have in terms of build, features and aesthetics. It comes with a single instruction booklet but its a big one with almost 1,000 steps but the steps are broken down really nicely with some pages being just a couple of parts. The 15 odd bags of parts are also broken down into 4 major steps so that you don't have to open everything at once. They've also mixed up the build so that you don't end up building the same thing twice straight after each other, which is a pet hate of mine. There are a lot of features in this but highlights are; GREAT suspension, winch, all doors opening, great interior detail and the EPIC gearbox. The gearbox is both a highlight and a lowlight. On the one side it makes for a very challenging and mechanically interesting build, but at the same time its quite hard to push the model around the floor and really see what the gearbox is doing.....to really test it, you end up flipping it on its side and spinning the wheels by hand to watch what is going on. It's a very well designed model with no corners cut and ends up being a very sturdy model that you could happily give to an older child to play with, without too much worry about it getting broken. In my case, its now sat on a display shelf and looks superb (alongside the Ducati Corse motorbike, which is another fantastic looking model). In fact, the body is so well put together that at first glance it looks more like a plastic model than a piece of Lego. I didn't rush my build and I think I got a good 10 hours of fun build time, which is a good amount. Totally recommended.

Who does not like Lego, bought this for myself over the Christmas period to build - always fun to do never gets old building with Lego .Enjoyment still there- this was a great Lego set and a fairly large set to complete and looks great when complete . Great value for the price

Truly remarkable model and, for the complexity and number of pieces, good value too. Not an easy build in that some smaller gears are harder to identify - err towards the smallest gear when putting the gearbox and transfer case together. Deeply impressive transmission system wrapped in a good likeness of a new Defender. Clever assembly system does allow you to build it and remove the panels later to review the mechanism and suspension. Actually easy to push around and “drive” so younger kids can explore it even if the build is considered beyond their skills. It’s Lego - what kids might find hard is the time and patience needed. Mine was missing four pieces - so one mirror can’t be fitted yet and the bonnet has a black bit instead of green. But it’s Lego and a Land Rover. I’m calling it character until I get the missing bits. Hefty and just really impressive when built, if you choose just one lego Technic car to make this year, make it this one.

A great Lego model to possess. Also buy the lights to go inside. Not to be used as a toy, best placed on a shelf.

I ummed and ahhed about spending this much on a Lego set, but when I finally took the plunge, I had a great time building this, despite the fact that there were a couple of pieces missing. Didn't think I could downgrade it a whole star though as the parts were sent reasonably quickly, even the piece that was out of stock. I'd be lying if I said it didn't spoil the build a little, since after the first missing part, I was constantly expecting more, but in terms of the wait, I'd never planned on building it quickly anyway, There was an issue with the driveshafts on the build but according to the interweb, you simply have to make sure you properly align the centres of the 2 universal joints and then you're all good. To be fair the instructions show it being built this way but you have to be fairly eagle eyed to spot it. Finished, it hangs together really well. I chose the set partly because I'm interested in the new Defender but also the shape lends itself well to being made out of bricks. Overall, it looks great on the shelf, once it's done. Though I'm considering tearing it down and building it again just for the fun of it.

Brilliant and a great gift

I bought this as one of my winter projects for 2021 at the reduced price. I haven’t started to build it yet but had a really good look at all the components which appear to be really well made and sturdy. The manual is a step by step guide which is clear and well illustrated so I’m looking forward to starting when the darker evenings come in. Already considering adding a lighting kit

This is an impressive kit, the attention to detail is astonishing. It all reflects quite accurately how it works in real life (with some simplifications of course) but the steering, the transmission, the 6 cylinder engine (with moving pistons) are really a delight to put together and watch them working. It was really fun to assemble and I have it as a display piece now. It was assembled in a weekend, so considering the price it doesn't guarantee too many hours of entertainment, but I guess the price includes the design (which is definitely impressive) and the resulting piece. Great gift for Lego lovers.

A great set by lego, it was mostly out of stock in the pandemic, definitely not for 11 year old kids....i would suggest an age rating of 16+.... I think the build time will be almost 80 hours for a casual builder The gear box works well and the model looks fantastic. Another fantastic creation by lego

値段が少し高くて買うのを躊躇っていた期間はありましたが、作り終えた今買って良かったと思います サスペンション、タイヤを回す事でギミックが回るのも見てて楽しくなります 一つ注意点としては、似たような形の部品があり、説明書ではわかりづらいものがあります。 自分は一度間違えて組み立ててしまい、作り直す事になりましたので、作る際は部品の確認と動作点検しながら作る事をおすすめします。

Ho acquistato il set 42110 - Land Rover Defender come personale regalo di compleanno insieme al set 42083 -Bugatti Chiron, che monterò prossimamente. Che dire... set stupendo, montaggio molto divertente ed appassionante, a tratti complicato, ma che regalerà un prodotto di qualità che vi godrete al meglio e farà la sua figura una volta esposto. La scatola è molto grande e raffigura ovviamente la Land Rover. Al suo interno troverete le buste numerate dal 3 al 4 ed un'altra scatola (bianca) contenente le buste dall'1 al 2 e gli adesivi. Il libretto di istruzioni è un bel mattone da oltre 400 pagine, ma giustifica il fatto che il set è composto da oltre 2500 pezzi. Il prodotto completo lo otterrete dopo circa 7/8 ore di montaggio, che vi consiglio di prendere con calma onde evitare errori che influenzeranno il risultato finale, dato che ci sono alcuni passaggi molto delicati. Bellissimo il cambio a 4 rapporti ed il volante funzionante, cosa mai capitata nei precedenti set ma che ho apprezzato tantissimo. Rispecchia moltissimo la reale Land Rover Defender ed il colore verde oliva è decisamente azzeccato. Ricomprerei senza pensarci il prodotto.
