“How do you feel, mighty Megatron?!”
So first off, this figure is based off the original g1 design, and acts like a mini masterpiece figure. We’ll get the cons out of the way first. If you don’t want to read the whole review, skip to the overall thoughts section. CONS There is no waist swivel, unlike the Siege figure. I think it is to not break the sculpt, so i can look past. What is harder to look past is the kibble. There is a large chunk of the cockpit stuck on the back. Other than that, the back is fairly clean. I just wish that part could be removable like the Third Party Maketoys Howling Meteor figure. On the feet there are the tail fins folded up on the sides. I wish it could fold to the back, because the kibble gets in the way of dynamic poses. The paint is fairly durable, except the red, which some has chipped after I transformed him for the first time. PROS Starscream is 6.5 inches tall. The figure is extremely solid, no loose parts, and it can hold several poses without toppling. Speaking of pose ability, it’s great, despite the lack of waist swivel. The head sculpt is beautiful 😏 Looks straight put of the show. His accessorizes are the iconic null rays. They are remove able (for better or for worse). The transformation is smooth and easy, full of clever flips and turns. The jet mode is very sleek and satisfying. Among the best Starscream jet modes I’ve seen in a while. OVERALL THOUGHTS Extremely solid, clean, could have had some better engineering in cases of kibble, but is very minimal. A great figure, well worth the price. Glad to see Hasbro and Takara are making quality figures once more!!

Great buy! Awesome figure! Must have! Came in perfect condition and great time!
Came in perfect condition and great time. Longtime transformers fan and really big fan of this Generations line that goes along with the Netflix series. Have yet to watch the show but am slowing building up my Decepticon army! First got Megatron along with Sideswipe a couple months, then got Shockwave, Astrotrain, and Airwave. Now as a longtime Starscream/Seeker fan finally got this. Got the Thundercracker and Skywarp two-pack as well to go along with this. Not sure there was gonna be a better upgrade from the now seemingly historic 2006 Seeker mold but this is a fitting sequel! Living my 2009 childhood dream of having all three! Must have for any Decepticon fan! Now just on to Soundwave!

I don't want to say that this would be a bad purchase... It's a great purchase
but this is going to get broken eventually. You probably think I'm about to say that this thing is poorly constructed. I am not. The construction of this is outstanding, which is why I think it is going to get broken, especially if you're giving it to a child. I would recommend to choose whether you like Robot Starscream or Plane Starscream, and leave him as one or the other (both are awesome by the way) Converting him is difficult to say the least, and the parts are so tight that it takes a fair amount of force to manipulate them. I may be wrong this thing may be designed to take a pounding, but changing him from robot to plane yesterday was cringeworthy. Changing him back from plane to robot today was terrifying. Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome Starscream, but I just thought this was something people should consider, especially if getting it for a younger child. Edit October 2023 I take everything I wrote back. Extremely durable, very well put together, still looks awesome, very easy to transform once you know how. Absolutely buy it for anyone if you can find one.

This is a collector's item, not a toy
I wouldn't buy this as a toy for a child. It's expensive for what it is, and the transformation is a little clunky and you really have to force some things - I think a child could get over-zealous and break it easily. As a collector I probably wouldn't transform him too many times - I think over time the clips used on the chest plate could get worn and not hold together properly. Overall, I'm really satisfied - he looks great in both robot mode and jet mode.

Awesome G1 representation
I bought this as a present for my nephew who loves transformers. He is a pretty solid toy; doesn't feel cheap. He looks cool in bot mode or jet mode (Especially since its the F-15) . My nephew has a little trouble transforming him by himself. The only real annoying transforming steps are: 1.) His forearms 2.) His chest doesn't open very easily 3.) The wings do not snap into place easily Otherwise from that it is a all around nice toy.

Great figure for fans of the original G1 Series
I think that this is a great representation of Starscream in the current Earthrise line. The transformation is simple enough and you don't feel like you're going to break anything during the process. The jet mode is very close to cartoon accurate and holds its form solidly, it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart if you shake it. All in all a great figure for the transformers collector.

Amazing figure, definitely the Starscream for your collection.
By far the most accurate and affordable G1 themed Starscream figure on the market right now. Transformation is simple enough, but not mindnumbingly simple at around 28 steps, some of which are a bit tedious. The step in particular I'm talking about is a point where you separate the front and back of the chest plate. The section connects through clips of all things. They seem sturdy enough, but it's best to be careful.

"Decepticons...RETREAT!!!"
This figure is very nicely done and is much worth the price. The plastic feel high quality. Both the jet and robot mode are solid, although the legs are a little hard to get pegged into place and the nose cone is on hanging out on the back uncovered, but these are forgivable as compromises need to be made for the transformation. Over all, this figure is very good and enjoyable I highly recommend it!
