DAB + USB 2.0 Digital DAB + Radio Tuner Receiver Stick ONLY for XTRONS Android Car Stereos

Easy to use - bought this for the XTrons IA head unit I purchased for my daughters Fiat 500. Purchased this one specifically as it has a screw in SMA female connector Also purchased a Bingfu Fakra male Z to SMA male connector which perfectly connected the the built in roof aerial. The reception is great - using it with DAB-Z app and it picks up stations which my new BMW does not. My only regret is the Fakra to SMA male lead wasn’t much longer, as I would have run the USB unit down to the footwell or into the glove box so I could disconnect and use the USB connector in case of issues. So far though it’s worked without needing to be disconnected. Reasonable price (comes with windscreen antenna which I didn’t want to have to use. Station sound quality is great - better than the Fiat factory unit (which is due to the Xtrons unit as well.

I wasn’t getting over 50 channels with a windscreen aerial so tried this unit I did a scan and got over 140 stations great signal and very rarely drops

I have two of these, one was endless trouble, weak signal, noise from the Xtrons head unit. Now after 6 months one stick has failed completely. Xtrons say it only has a 3 month warranty and won't replace or repair it. I am trying to get Amazon to do something about it, but they don't seem to want to know either. The tech support from Xtrons is poor, anytime you have a problem with DAB they just send you the article about installing the [rubbish] antenna. Yes, it is rubbish and has been replaced. So for poor tech support and a product that fails after 6 months, zero stars Xtrons. Avoid this product and avoid the TA709IPL head unit, it puts out so much noise in the DAB band it makes DAB useless.

Have bought many dab dongles and every type of dab aerial and all very poor reception. This twin aerial version is bloody fantastic works perfectly without drop outs. And got 45 stations

Great toy for my android stereo

Although I rate the xtrons stereo I purchased it is difficult to rate this. It arrived with little instruction on how to integrate with my stereo. I had several adapters to fit to it. It would have been nice to have specific instructions on which one to connect! Regardless. It does the job. It works!

When it worked it was great but after 3 days lost all stations and repeated scanning failed to find a single station Now 8 months on from replacing another one has failed !! Who gives only 3 month warranty on things now ?

Reviews for this product are mixed but I think the instructions miss an essential requirement. I get great reception but having checked out a lot reviews I made sure I ground back the paint to steel on my screen frame where the copper contact of the aeriel is fitted. This is not mentioned in the instructions. If you have airbags fitted here, best to remove the negative contact on the battery before removing the trim that covers it to avoid setting it off. I get great station detection and reception on all natinal channels and only a few local ones aren't perfect.
