Razor Power Rider 360 9 MPH Drifting Trike Ride-On Electric Powered Tricycle, Black, Yellow

To be clear, we have four of these. One was purchased at a big box retailer on clearance in 2014 for my eldest son and while the flag is missing, it legit goes faster and still works. I purchased a second one via Amazon one or two summers ago for my autistic nephew who really enjoys the sensory movement of swings and was working on “real tricycles” at school, but who would fight with my son over his trike. I read reviews and knew it was slower and that was totally okay with me. In the past year, we unfortunately lost the hardware that keeps the seat on the frame for the original. It is NOT carried at any big box or local stores. (This is NOT the problem for the newest THREE.) That, combined with the increased speed prompted me to order more. The one for my nephew refused to charge within nine months of purchase. So it’s out. Batteries Plus doesn’t carry the fix. I placed an order for two more a few weeks ago. They arrived in seemingly perfect condition shopping and packing and materials wise; however, one of the two just straight up doesn’t work and I already recycled the box upon arrival (Friday is recycling day) and I charged it overnight with no awareness - so I have one that just straight up doesn’t charge. The second new one has a problem with its chain. It will charge perfectly and even hold the weight of 170+lb adults for over thirty minutes - it’ll hold longer for smaller kids. HOWEVER. The chain falls off every other day, which is frustrating. So I have to repair the chain every other day and to be clear: it’s so awesome that while this is an incredible inconvenience and takes time — I am absolutely willing to take the time to fix it to make my kids happy with the only ONE they’re allowed to ride that works. We ALL love these. Adults have fun. Kids have fun. The first still rocks with a 150lb adult on the back of the trike with anywhere from a 40-70lb kid, no problem for maybe twenty minutes. This is against the rules but hey. We also have grown up races. We use these outside in the summer and inside on basement concrete or upstairs LVP - no damage to either and it’s sooooo much fun! I’m very disappointed in the changes that lead to even brand new ones not working but I am working with customer service. And again. The one from six years ago works better than all of the other three. It also has a wonky proprietary charger, which the new ones do not and between seasons I always manage to lose them along with my dryer socks. These are great. I love them. Adults love them. Kids love them. They’re incredible inside and out. Quiet use, long battery life — even works on grass. Excellent value!

My son loves his 360!!!! The battery dose not last super long, but he gets a good 40+ minutes of play out of it. Which is enough in my book for one day since he has to ride it on our street (it does not work in the grass). Which means I litteraly have to stand in the street with him to watch for cars. We clip a walkie talkie to his shirt so if I see a car turn onto our street I can tell him that he needs to get on the sidewalk without screaming and running down the street like a crazy person. He like the freedom it gives him to be able to go a little further down the street and I like the ability to communicate with him and keep him safe without having to be a helicopter mom. It really does whip around in a 360... I wish i could ride it! The goofy flag falls out all the time, but its not a big deal. I think it main purpose is to add to the visability factor, but he isnt allowed to ride without myself, his dad, his 18 years sister or brother with him. I got this for an amazing deal by adding it to my shopping cart and leaving it there. After a couple of weeks of "watching" the price went from $140 to $99.

My son is 9, soon to be 10 at about 70 pounds, asked for a mini-bike for Christmas. While we like to try to get them things they asked for, this was out of the question becuase of our property and price! I saw this Razor 360 online and the price seemed too good to be true. Went through the reviews and videos and figured to take a shot, plus it would be a total surprise. My dad put it together, so it wasn't in our house, but he said it was easy. He pre-charged the battery for 24 hours, too, so it was ready to go! The trike was a complete surprise and a big hit! He couldn't wait to ride it. The whole day he was riding it in the basement and was having a blast, until it completely froze. The tire wouldn't rotate and their was a clanging noise, I was bummed that it didn't last a day. My dad did a little bit of research and found out the trike can have some minor issues with parts and replacements. So, he took a look at the inside and noticed nothing was broken, but a chain fell off. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for durability. It's now back to working condition and I know how to fix it if it happens again. My kids have had a lot of fun riding this trike. My husband has even said he would ride it if he knew it would hold him! It spins around and picks up a generous amount of speed and is worth the price. Just a note, he has been riding it in our basement (in the process of finishing it, so it's all smooth concrete)...the paved drivewary works as long as it's fairly smooth and flat. We don't recommend hills or rough pavement.

This product is awesome and is super fun for a dare devil kid. However, this electric trike lasted 6 months before breaking. As noted by another reviewer: “Underneath the seat, the seating frame connects (two separate pieces). It is this connection point that fails.” The screw became dislodged and the seat disassembled while in use. It literally broke into two pieces as she was riding it. Cool bike, and hopefully can be fixed with a modification. Just watch for this issue and make sure your kid is wearing a helmet!

There is a design flaw (intentionally???) with the frame. Underneath the seat, the seating frame connects (two separate pieces). It is this connection point that fails. The two pieces are joined by one rather short screw that bends easily, which then causes the frame to sag. Shortly thereafter, the sagging connection drags on the riding surface which renders the unit unusable. These two connecting pieces are NOT available (or even identified in the user manual) as replacement parts. When this poorly designed frame sags to the ground (AND IT WILL!), you can either take it to a mechanic (or similar) to have it welded, or just buy another unit (preferred by Razor). All other aspects of the ride-on are ok in my opinion. The self-pedaled version of this has the rider frame in one piece. This unit needs to have the same design. I can see no benefit whatsoever of this unit needing the seating frame to be in two pieces. (04DEC15) Actually, I found a great way to ensure solid connection between the two frame pieces. I went to Home Depot and purchased the thickest bolt and accompanying washers and nut. The factory-bored hole needed to be widened slightly so a power drill managed that. By connecting the two pieces with this industrial-grade bolt, any 'sagging' was immediately corrected. I can attach a picture of this modification, if anyone desires. Now, I can stand on the connecting point and the frame holds together as if it is one solid piece (as it should have been). Since I was able to fully overcome the design flaw (for less than $3), I'm upping my star rating! Granddaughter still has a great big smile on her face EVERY time she rides. In her words, it's her "motorcycle".

It is Christmas morning and I am a broken-hearted Momma with a broken-hearted child. The trike has been unwrapped for 40 minutes and we are having to put the chain back on for the third time!!!!! This isn’t an easy process and it’s very time consuming. My kid has already lost interest!! Don’t waste your money. Update: I contacted Razor direct on December 28th. They told me the issue was the chain tensioner and that they would send me a replacement. Said I should receive it in 3 weeks. 3 weeks passed and I still hadn't received it so I called again. Now they report they need to send a whole new front end assembly. This makes sense after reading all of the reviews that came flooding in after Christmas. Received the new assembly and installed it in Sunday. Plugged the trike in and my daughter came back out to finally get to ride on Friday. The thing is as dead as a doorknob!!! I plugged it back in, checked the charger base and the light was green meaning the battery was no longer taking a charge. Called Razor back and now they tell me they have to send me a new battery. They state that this trike was manufactured in August of 2020 and that because it was not charged until December 24th the battery went bad. Huh??? Sounds like BS to me. We shall see. Moral of the story - do not buy this product. If you still think your kid can't live without it assemble it and try it out for yourself a couple of months before you intend to give it to them because that is how long you will have to wait to resolve any issues.

Our kids love this. It's not super fast but fast enough so when you throw a loop and or drift it it feels fast! Perfect for kids. I am 190 lbs and it will go with me on it it's just slower unless on a downward slope but when my sons ride it, it jumps to speed quite quickly and drifts and spins like supposed to. I believe it's about 4-6 bolts to put together and can be done in just a few minutes simply. Great gift and fun.

We bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. It worked for 1 day and he loves it. The second day, he drove it, the front wheel stopped rolling/spinning after some drifting action. There were no rocks or something stuck in the drive. I called Razor customer service/tech support. Under there instruction, I opened the front to expose the chain drive. Nothing seemed to be blocking the chain drive, however the chain itself seemed as if it slightly slippes of the drive but not enough to come off, just enough to stop the wheel from spinning. Customer service said I would have to take the whole thing appart and use the instructions in the manual for chain repair/maintenance to see if I could fix it that way. I am not that mechanical and it looked complicated. They then advised me to return the product to seller (amazon). If my kid wouldn't love it so much, I would not buy another one. I am returning the unit, and upgrade to razor crazy cart. I am doing so, since I am assuming the drifting action from this unit, messes with the front chain drive and probably caused the issue, as when you drift you need to tilt the front wheel and and automatically break a bit too. I blame physics for this issue, and assume it will happen again. Very sad. I had hoped for better help. On top of it, I threw the box away already, and now have to buy a box ($)25 in order to be able to return it to amazon. My son is sad, because he has to wait now for another toy, which also has the same chain drive and will have to prove it doesn't have the same issue. The crazy cart is simply faster and the drift is more manual than "automatic". But hopefully he gets more years of use out of it. I just hope it is not as tippy as some reviews mentioned.
