This hot buttered rum mix serves as a great ingredient in warm alcoholic drinks when the weather gets colder. I especially like using it with more flavorful liquors, such as salted caramel whiskey, Baileys, and RumChata. It can also be good as an addition to hot cocoa.It's really easy to use. Combine the following:2 tbsp of Collins Hot Buttered Rum Mix1 1/2 oz of rum or whiskey8 oz of hot water (or milk/eggnog, if the liquor is creamy)And that's it!

Like many previous reviews, the brown-sugar had settled to bottom of jar and was hard as a rock. It was so hard that the jar had broken during shipping and was unusable. This product apparently isn't in an Amazon warehouse waiting to be picked & shipped. A outside vender sells it. I couldn't find an expiration date on the jar, but it appears it have been sitting for awhile. It's just 10 bucks. Don't waste your money. Buy another brand or just make that Hot Buttered Rum drink from scratch!

This tastes the best and has no bio engineered ingredients. However sometimes the jar leaks a bit in transit

Not what was expected

Product arrived in a deteriorate condition. Much of it was crystallized and cemented to the sides and bottom of the jars. Opened 2 of the 4 jars that I ordered. Both were in this condition. Attempted to return the products online. Because they were food items, online procedures would not let me do this. I contacted Amazon by phone and talked to a customer service representative. Great service! Amazon refunded my entire purchase price! I also contacted the Collins company about their product. They responded very quickly. Since the product was purchased outside of their official store, they required a valid receipt and a photo of the defective product for any action. Since Amazon refunded my purchase, I did not pursue this matter any future with Collins. Of the 4 jars that I purchased, 3 were shipped out of Texas and one came from Illinois. The jar from Illinois was the first one that I opened. The second jar that I opened was from Texas. Both jars were deteriorated and crystallized. You can use this information to make your own decisions on whether to purchase this product or not.

I LOVE HOT BUTTER RUMS IN THE WINTER (OR REALLY ANYTIME FOR THAT MATTER). HOWEVER, I GO THROUGH THE BATTER AND THE RUM (DON'T TELL) LIKE IT WAS LEMONADE. I LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, SO COLD, RAINY OR SNOWY WEATHER IS NEVER A VALID EXCUSE. AND WHEN THE PACKAGE, COMES IN THE MAIL, ALL MY ALCOHOLIC FRIENDS MAKE A BEELINE TO MY DOOR! DO THEY SEND IT IN AN UNMARKED BOX? NOT ON YOUR LIFE. I BUY ONE BOTTLE OF SPICED RUM A YEAR, AND WHEN THAT IS GONE, SO IS THE BUTTERED RUM BATTER!!

First of all, this product is delicious. The problem I had was it as extremely late in arriving, so late that I actually had to go out and buy a different product. Because of this, I would not order it again.
