Okay I'm part of the fan club now.
Most of us are writing less and less as we use the lastest technology to communicate. Messages are now texted or email (typing). Letter writing is a lost art. We don't even sign checks any more as much of our transactions are electronic. When I went to a new doctor recently I was given a 5 page form to fill out. Then I realized I need to start writing again . This form was overwhelming for me to write paragraph after paragraph explaining my illness . SO NOW I AM RELEARNING HOW TO WRITE. IM GOING TO NEED A GOOD PEN , quality note paper and some stationary supplies. At the stationary department of a chain drug store I saw a dozen different pens to choose . I made up my mind that I would purchase a pen that was less then $3 ,used refills and was substantial in feel and ability to take a little punishment. I selected the zebre g301. Metal barrel sleek and a good price. It is a fine writing instrument but found I was using up the ink supply after a few days of constant writing. I decided to try other pens hoping to find one that wrote as smooth as the zebra. And then I found the needle pt. Pentel energel. It was equal to the smooth writing of the zebra and better than the 3 other popular brands I had tried. What sold me on this pen as being superior was the ink supply lasted and lasted without any need to use a refill. Wow, a very smooth writing delivery ,even more substantial in size (easier to grip) and an ink supply that lasts without having to replace the ink cartridge. I might add that the cost is very reasonable which was one of my early criteria for choosing a pen. One last thing. When I went on to this shopping site I read only positive remarks about this pen. I listened to others and they were right. This is an excellent pen. 4.8/5.0 is a great track record.

What's to say? It's a Pentel with Liquid Gel Ink
Let's be honest Pentel makes some fine writing instruments. Are they the best pens available? Of course not but certainly fine quality and enjoyable to use. I admit I like using fountain pens but they require pretty much constant attention and maintenance. With these Pentel pens, especially using liquid gel ink, they just work and write smoothly with minimal effort. The ink seems to dry pretty fast also. I'm right-handed so don't suffer from dragging my hand over fresh ink like some left-handed folks so can't vouch for that but otherwise no issue with smudges. The price was right and since I already had other items ordered I figured I'd throw these in with the order and glad I did.

New favorite pen!!
I've used zebra pens for YEARS. probably at least a decade. But the refills have become inconsistent. The ink skips, and you have to write over the same word 2-3 times to be able to read it. So I went on the search for something new. I tried the sharpie gel pens. They were ok. Nothing special. They wrote well, the feel was ok, but it wasn't fun. (I work in an office, I take joy where I can find it.) Uniball was disappointing. The ink in this pen also skipped but not nearly as badly as the zebra refills. So that's out. The pentel pen is PERFECT. It’s bold, doesn't smear, and is so smooth. I already ordered 3 more 2 packs, and I now look for a reason to write anything. I'll definitely be ordering more of these in the future!

Lefties Unite!
Fabulous pen that does not smear! I’m ambidextrous and write with both hands and this pen works extremely well in both situations. I gave one to a left-handed colleague, and he liked it so much that we ordered more. Bright colors (we’ve purchased the blue and purple) with a comfortable grip for both right or left handed writers. Smooth consistent ink, with consistent flow. This pen does not smear! My colleague even ran his hand over the ink immediately while writing, and no smudges. By far the best leftie pen we’ve tried.

Silky smooth
I usually dont get excited by pens. This pen is super smooth at a reasonable price. The main reason to buy this pen it's very nice and smooth roll on the paper. The ink seems to dry quickly without smudging. (I have not tried to smudge it) Dont keep it in your shirt pocket, its a disposable so i'm not trusting it completly. While I was told that this pen is refillable, personally I would not. It's an inexpensive pen. Not the most attractive of cases for what it is. Maybe transfer the cartridge to a nicer pen case.

Really Nice for Sketching
Recommended by artist "Roo" of "Roodoodles" dot com and Facebook. What his videos to see how he uses them in his sketching and artwork. They are great. They will bleed a little while drying if you have a wet brush, but that is exactly the effect wanted. Later they don't seem to smear at all. And the pen itself is attractive. The point is protected by retracting. I've ordered more and I'm trying some other colors. The price has gone up and down this week a lot! and back up and back down. This is the NEEDLE Point Pen not roller/metal point. I'm not sure yet how long they'll last, but the low price I found was excellent enough. I've bought more to use a gift--they look a lot better than the average pen.

Awesome Pen
I love these pens. I like the way they write and also the fact that they don't smear

It's a pen, it's purple, it's great.
We'll see if the finger grip gets gunky after a few years, as some things tend to do, but for now, it's great to hold and it writes in bold purple lines. Good stuff.
