This was an awesome replacement. The motor went out on one side of my theater seating that is quite old. Too expensive to replace the entire theater seating. It stated it was a replacement since the original motor was no longer manufactured. It worked perfectly and I was able to install it myself with no issues. And I'm no mechanic by any means.

First you have to realize there are a thousand of these. This one was recommended to replace one on a Costco power reclining leather sofa - RMT R8123. It was the right throw length, but I had to customize the mount on one end. It is working well. Just take note of the usage interval - 1 min of use then 8 min of non-use. So letting your kids mess with it probably isn't a good idea unless you want to become a real pro at disassembling your sofa. Wrestling the sofa around was a bit of a challenge due to its weight. The steel frame accounts for much of that. Pulling the backs off wasn't any fun either. My Wife's arms were skinny enough to get in and pull out the catches. I needed a star wrench, a ratcheting box wrench and some colorful language to complete the repair.

Perfect replacement unit, 10 minute install, I’m sure it saved me hundreds had I called a repair company to repair.Highly recommend if others need “EXACT” part for recliner chairs. The motor is working great.It feels good to have my recliner back at 100 percent again.

I wanted to leave this review to help others find the correct replacement part. I had a hard time finding the right one and another Amazon review confirmed this was the right part. This item JLDQ-12 (JLDQ.12.157.333K) replaced Model R1823 (R182301156333). It replaced the entire motor and actuator assembly very easily. The replacement had an extra wire that looked like a power pass through. I was able to just tie that extra connector out of the way with no problem. The new assembly had a slightly different plastic mount but the holes were in the same location and it didn't matter. All new mounting bolts were included. My old one said it was rated for 24v but the chair had a 29V power supply so the new one was a perfect match.

This motor didn’t even last a full year before it totally died. Now we have to buy another one!

Fit my very old recliner. Easy to swap if you're strong enough to tip it over and use some wrenches. Works great.
