We bought this for 5 years for my daughter and it tremendously helped her tummy issues. We had an auto-ship subscription and it was perfect. It tasted just like water and my kids loved it! Then, back in March we received it in auto-ship like usually but this time, upon giving it to my kids (3 and 5 now), they both gagged! I thought maybe they gave me the wrong thing accidentally. I double checked, but no - the bottle looked exactly the same. Then I thought maybe it was rancid so I tasted it and sure enough, I gagged! It was oily and had a terrible taste I can’t even describe. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I reached out to the Mary Ruth customer service to let them know of the rancid bottle. However, they went on to tell me they changed the formula to now include MCT oil. I complained to them that there was no mention of MCT OIL on the bottle (since March they may have changed the bottle but at that time there was no warning). They admitted they should’ve been more forthright with the change but also said that the majority of customers had been asking for MCT oil and love the change. I find that very hard to believe after filtering the reviews on Amazon to “most recent” 99% of the reviews are complaining about how terrible the taste is and how they won’t be buying it again and pleading for the company to bring back the old recipe. Why change something that was working so well for so many people? If some have requested MCT oil, why not make two versions. One water base (old formula) and one oil based (new formula)? That way everyone can use what works best for them. This was seriously a game changer for my kids gut health (and many others, per the reviews) and I’m desperate to find an alternative but I can’t find one. You will have me as a customer for life - along with many others if you just give us the option to have the old recipe. Thank you for considering!!

Love this probiotic. It does have a subtle taste but it isn’t bad. Super easy to add to any drink.

I have bought this multiple times I do like it but the taste is a little gross.

We have used this for at least 6 years. I credit this product with keeping my children so healthy when others around them get sick, especially at school and day care. However, I do not like the new formula. I add the probiotics and zinc to their water bottles. The oiliness makes the inside of the cups nasty and harder to clean. Please switch back to the old formula 😊

I purchased this product after coming home from having abdominal surgery. Doctor had recommended a while back that I take probiotics but I hate taking pills. I tried this out and from day one have had fantastic results. There is no taste. Its like drinking water. I was not sure of the dosage but finally figured it out. From day one I noticed a difference in my gut. I have a condition called lichen sclerosus which can be affected by the foods I eat. I have not had a flare up since taking this product which tells me part of my problem was my gut health. Never had problems with bowel movements but they seem even better. I would recommend this to anyone having any gut issues or if you are older, things begin to function differently. This is the best purchase I have made for my health in a long time. Used it for both my kids, it seemed to help with my toddler's loose stools.

I was really disappointed with this, but it was my fault for not checking I had the right one. I wanted the infant probiotic that is water based and this is in oil, it doesn't go down well as, like you can imagine, it's like drinking oil! Plus I am not even sure what type of oil it is.
