Hayward W3AQ-TROL-HP AquaTrol Above-Ground Pool Salt Chlorination System, White

First time pool owner here, second season with this Hayward chlorine generator. Fantastic! Easy to set up and makes pool maintenance almost ZERO. I’m so happy I’m not constantly checking pool water levels and adding chemicals. I’m so glad I bought this! Our pool has been purely enjoyment, clear water, and no headaches!! Well worth the money, you’ll spend more and stress more going the chemical route.

I purchased the Aquatrol RJ Salt Chlorination system in hopes that it would perform as well as my other Hayward products. In short, I was wrong. The unit was installed and within a month and a half, the circuit board stopped working and the unit was dead. I contacted Hayward and they referred me to a local pool supplier for warranty repair. The local supplier was not able to complete the repair, as they are not a Chlorination system repair facility. I contacted Hayward again and a repair ticket was opened. I waited for over ten days for a reply for the service ticket. I followed the instructions and found another local Hayward dealer that was certified for the repair. The unit has been in the repair shop for over two weeks. I have followed up and Hayward has approved the warranty repair and the shop is waiting for the new circuit board. By the time the repairs are completed, I expect that it will be time to shut the pool down for the season. I have already lost my entire 2023 pool season based on this faulty product. I am very let down with Hayward. I have always used Hayward pumps and filters. They performed flawlessly and have been very robust. This purchase has really made me rethink my high opinion of Hayward products. All that I can say is, buyer beware regarding the Aquatrol RJ product.

Our last Hayward salt cell system lasted us 8 years! It was easy to install just like our first one. Overall, it has been a wonderful and reliable product and I highly recommend it based on its reasonable price and longevity!

Crystal clear water without all the chemicals.Very easy to maintain…

I bought this to replace my t-cell Hayward for my above ground pool. It worked right out of the box and was easy to set up/replace. I have mine vertically installed, and it covers my 18x40 oval pool. It has clogged more often than my last cell, and the cell only gets build up on one side, which makes me wonder if the other side if working properly. On 50% it is maintaining the salt and chlorine levels during our 95-105 degree summers. I don't like that I have to keep it up so high, and I worry about it's longevity and quality at those rates. It seems durable and does the job, but for close to a grand, I was hoping it would function better (both sides and at a lower chlorination percentage.
