great product
I bought this with some trepidation as previous experiences with undersea drones has been dismal. After reading the manual twice and watching the video tutorials, I launched the drone into the ocean and all was perfect, except I could not move it vertically up and down unless I changed the tilt axis. I struggled with this for several hours and reread the manual again and realized I was using the wrong lever for that motion, and upon . retesting it, all was perfect. I had several minor technical questions and they were amazing responsive, despite the time difference, responded within 12 hrs each time. This is a great product and a great company. My only suggestion is to have a better manual that incorporates some of the video tutorial into text. Other than that, and even with that, you cannot go wrong purchasing this drone. It is well worth the price, does a lot more and better than cheaper drones, and even better than some more expensive drones. I suggest buying the spool as it makes handling the cord much easier.

Not working
Hi I have the FIFISH v6 have calibrated the dron, and I am not able to calibrate the RC. When I put the dron in the water it goes crazy. I can’t enter into RC calibration mode and I followed instructions in your video. See video uploaded

Great product, great customer support and service
Excellent customer service!! The unit arrived defective, it had some issues with the head light and stabilization so the company replaced the unit and gave me thruster protectors for the inconvenience. Amazing product and amazing customer service!!

Wish it had been better
I ordered this ROV to search for a sunken boat that was at 80+feet deep. When it worked, it worked well and visibility wasn't bad even at 80ft deep and dark murky water. 1. The first issue we had were with the 2 lights randomly blinking of and on with no input from the controller. 2. The second issue we had was randomly the unit would quit responding and we had the circle of death spinning on the App screen. Forced us to recover the ROV numerous times via the tether. 3. The last issue we had was the actual run time. After only 2 dives and less than 75 minutes of total use the ROV's battery was depleted. I was told this was normal by the seller and the 4 hours of run time advertised was taking into account non-contiguous use and lighting. Wish the advertised time was broken out into the separate categories based off use so the buyer had clear expectations of how long they could use the drone. Long expalanation but I ended up returning the ROV and buying another one with better battery life and support!

Tether is a nightmare to respool
Used it once so far, pretty cool but had a really hard time respooling the tether evenly, and ended up getting the tether reel jammed. Wish that part was better designed, but overall the drone is cool and handled pretty well for my first trip. Didn't see much interesting, but am looking forward to trying it in new locations.

Horrible Quality and Non-Existent Support – Avoid at All Costs!
I am extremely disappointed with the QYSEA v6 drone I purchased. After spending ?$1,500 on this piece of equipment, I only used it less than ten times before it completely malfunctioned due to a faulty motherboard. You'd expect a product at this price point to be reliable and durable, but that is far from the case. Even worse, the company's support is a total scam. When I contacted them about the manufacturing defect, they had the nerve to direct me to a drone repair shop that charges nearly the same amount as the original purchase price for the repairs! This is absolutely unacceptable. It’s clear that QYSEA does not stand behind their products or care about their customers. Their lack of responsibility and support for such a critical issue is appalling. Save your money and your sanity – do not buy from QYSEA. Their products are of horrible quality, and their support is non-existent. I will be sharing my experience widely to warn others about this disgraceful situation. Avoid QYSEA at all costs!

Doesn't work as well in murky environments
I have the Powerray and it has potential as does the Qysea neither are good for water that isnt clear. Using the powerray in Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Binds lake & the Niagara river the propellers get tangled with seaweed! Once underwater that is murky you lose orientation. The line also gets tangled. It has potential if you live where water is clear. I have videos on YouTube showing the downside using these drones in murky waters. I've beta tested drones for DJI & 3D Robotics when they first began making drones. Qysea should send me this unit to test out in less pristine waters. Not everyone lives in Hawaii or the tropics. Let's test it here in New York and give it a review!
