These do what heat lamp do! my wife was bummed that her red therapy light broke so I ordered these to surprise her with a replacement for her to come home and rest under. The quality is great, these heat up the moment they are turned on but never get too hot. Fit any standard sized heat lamps housing with the standard light screw base. These were priced competitively with box stores but as always Amazon proved their value in ordering from them Im also posting to give my appreciation to the dedication and amazing customer service Amazon always brings to the purchasing experience. One of the bulbs in our 2 pack came broken (filament dislodged during shipping) and Amazon was right there to get me a replacement bulb overnighted to me. I merely inquired how to remedy the broken bulb and was greeted with and immediate replacement. A great thanks to Amazons customer support staff and all they do for us shoppers.

This light does more than they say. We had a bad ice storm and our pump house was in jeopardy. We have used heat lamps in it for 20 years now. It was cold, very cold, more than it has ever been, and it stayed that way for over 10 days straight. Well, I had to use a new bulb, the Bulbmaster 250 watt bulb. It stayed on for over 10 days straight, without a break. I am impressed and also relieved, it was one less thing to worry about. 10 days straight of minus 7 to minus 15 degrees F was hard on us here in the south. We are glad we had these bulbs.
