This microplane is able to do its primary job, which is zest citrus and shred food. It has a stiff aluminum blade that extends out a little less than a foot, and the razors are sharp and efficient. The stiffness and the shape of the aluminum is idea to keep the blade from buckling under any pressure you might put on it. and it's fairly easy to pull out any material that might have gotten caught underneath the razors. It works like a charm for getting any kind of zest although the best is grating garlic on this thing. You can do a knob of garlic really quickly and you get a wonderful, fragrant heap of pulp. If you need finely diced garlic or pulp, a microplane is excellent. It does ginger pretty well too, athough it's always kind of hard to grate ginger because it's so fibrous. And it does hard cheese really well. You can get long shreds of parmesan by pushing down hard on the zester and a more gentle touch will give you finer, snowy cheese if that's what you want. Your fingers also won't get caught too easily in this thing, which is great. I can grind down a clove of garlic to the very end and not worry too much about sausaging my fingers. I'd still be careful though. I've had a for a couple of months now and the razors show no sign of dulling yet. Customer support is probably pretty good, i haven't had to reach out to them for anything. But one really nice touch is that the send you some tips on how to use the Deiss PRO zester and cheese grater. For one thing, they suggest oiling it a little bit before using to help material slide through the razors more easily. It's a really good idea and makes clean up really easy. 10 of 10 would recommend.

I’ve had this for 9 yrs and it still works great! Still very sharp and no rust. I’d buy again if I needed one but I still use this regularly. If u want a good zester this is it!! A picture to show you after 9 yrs no rust.

Fast shipping, zester is BEAUTIFUL!! Absolutely LOVE IT. So much easier than using a box grater and its quality product, the handle doesn’t fall off like the cheap store bought ones and the grip is very comfortable but the price on this was amazing!! The guard keeps the sharp blades covered so no cuts when you pull it out of the drawer and the brush makes cleaning very easy.

I fnally found a grater that does a pefect jog. The narrow style fits well in my kitchen drawer.

This is a really good zester. I do wish the sides didn't slant quite as much because it makes it hard to get some things scraped out of the bottom, especially anything sticky. It probably adds to the stability though, so not sure how much the slant could be lessened. At first I thought it was longer than it needs to be. You could cut a couple inches off and it would still work great when holding it at an angle with the "foot" sitting on the counter. But when using a larger bowl, the extra length allows one to lay the zester across the top of the bowl and zest directly into the bowl, which is very convenient. The cover snaps on and off very easily and sure does protect fingers when reaching into the drawer.

Very sturdy, and sharp.

Does the job well. Comes with a little brush that helps get the shavings down. Use it so the shaving collect into the back. I use a fork to stabilize the food pieces as to keep my hand safe. IT IS SHARP!!!!! Easy to clean, as well.

Obtienes muy fácilmente la ralladura de limón y naranja sin llegar a la parte blanca amarga, excelente filo, lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Zestern har ett stadigt om än något tjockt handtag. Själva bladet är också stadigt och zestar allt du kan tänka dig. Enkelt att göra rent och fint skydd att sätta på zestern när man är klar med den. Väl värd sitt pris och ångrar inte att jag köpte denna som var billigare än andra alternativ.

Die Käserreibe ist super. Nach dem Gebrauch einmal kurz unter den Wasserhahn und dann ab in die Spülmachine, ist bisher immer sauber geworden. Achtung, sehr scharf!
