Scosche GM5201AB 2010-Up Chevrolet Camaro Double DIN/DIN with Pocket Install Dash Kit

This dash kit didn't work on my vehicle due to manufacture defects, but I called SCOSCHE and they offered to send me a new one directly from them. After deciding to just go stock factory they acknowledged this and asked if there was anything they could do. They even decided to send a representative to the store my car was being worked on to see if they could figure the problem. Sadly it wasn't working due to a motherboard issue. Despite this the installer loved this kit, saying it was a super easy plug and play system. I totally plan to keep this in mind for the future with other vehicles since the company its self is just one of those that takes the extra step. I highly recommend this brand to anyone. For that matter the seller here was perfect as well. I returned the kit on my dime and they promptly sent me a new one in two weeks time. Sadly that wasn't my original plan (I just wanted a return with money back) so I called the seller (who picked up the phone without any message leaving or automatons) and they emailed me a return shipping label (free of charge). I couldn't be more pleased with either company despite my issues. This item is worth it.

Product worked perfectly. Nice design and looks like it was installed at the factory instead of an after market product.

Works greats!! Although I did have to cut a bit of the plastic at the bottom shelf that the radio will be sitting on! But that's just to hide the wires better! That's just my preference. A simple 2 slices with a box blade will take care of that! Another thing you will hear and see all kinda of things about how your radio isn't working! But telling you NOW!!!!!! You have to go into the settings in the kit, and select your model radio!! Soon you do tht easy breezy! And the screen doesn't go out, flinch, nothing great product! Ordered 4 so far, for others! No complaints, thanks

This Scosche unit is exceptional. There are two choices if u are adding an aftermarket stereo to your c5 camaro, this and a Metra. Both look noce but this u6mit just looks better. This unit adds a touch screen for operation of the air conditioning and programming of the unit.Programming was simple and straight forward and installation was just as simple (for an installer).This unit was couples with a Pioneer AVIC 8200NEX head end with all of the bella and whistles.This is the install kit that you want.

Item will not work correctly until Scosche provides update which according to tech support the update has no ETA. Would not advise to purchase this kit. Radio is constant on and will drain battery. I have been selling products for over 20yrs and Scosche has always been reliable believe me, but other issues are, blower motors will not work at first and defroster setting turns on when vehicle starts. One has to completely reset harness which isn't a fun task in this vehicle. Get the Metra Kit This one is not ready for the public and should not be sold Sending back for refund. The kit and harness are a great option but due to all the problems and no real timeframe this is just not feasible for anyone that doesn't remember to turn off radio every time and will mess with backup camera as well. Just needs to be corrected by Scosche as this is the second generation kit too

The kit does look good and the touch screen works well but, it's only been my car for a few weeks and it's starting to have problems. The steering wheel controls stopped working and I have unplug the elect harness and plug back in. Also the key or door open sound will sometimes stay on until I use the turn signal.

Unit fit well but the connector on the back was very tight. After the install I am now experiencing bad connection issues. I contacted Scosche and they are supposed to be sending me out a new module. Due to the good customer service from Scosche I am giving the 4 star rating. The distributor (Sonix Electronix) was very quick with the delivery. Even though I am having some issues I still recommend the product. It looks amazing and even retains the steering wheel audio controlsPlease advise the install is involved. The color coding of all the wires are the same but if you are not familiar with wiring in cars it can seem overwhelming. It is not a plug and play install.

Didn’t have to buy the expensive Maestro adapters. I will need to purchase the apple CarPlay adapter and the onstar adapter. I love the touch hvac controls and the gauges ! Easy to install too. Don’t go pay to get it installed.
