Glad I found this brand. Bought these when my old ones reached their "use by" date. These are better quality and they include lots of literature and clear instructions. I've carried bear spray for many years and never before understood that you can and should test each unit!! Thank you UDAP!!

I haven't deployed these yet so I can't speak to the quality and force of the spray itself yet. I will say that they are perfect size and weight and they have robust fasteners to attach to yourself while hiking in bear/cougar country. Good purchase.

Luckily, I haven’t had to use it, but as they say better to have it and not need.

Quality

Carry 2 cans. TWO. We have deployed about 25 cans of "BEAR SPRAY" in the the wild. This brand is what we carry daily. For the novice, this is a last resort. EACH brand is not the same and EACH can COULD PROVE different. This can tends to give a defined marking stream straight ahead and much of the sauce will be delivered at a face sized target straight ahead. That marking stream is stunning and then paralyzing. After being stunned, any mammal will recover and flee. A nuisance BEAR or other mammal will become familiar with this spray and will adjust habits after a single encounter. ANY BEAR or BIG CAT is going to trigger into fight or flight after they have had this deployed once. Foraging animals in area start to work around it. FOREST VS OPEN RANGE... WIND on the open range makes even the best can difficult. In the forest with no wind is very different. Under Tree Canopy this can be used as a FOGGER by spraying a quick burst while moving the can across the target area and retreating. Much will drop to ground like rain. If you are standing in this pepper rain it will cloud vision. The FOG will fill an area and make that area clear of all animals. So foraging bear will smell it and leave. That may not trigger Flight, more wandering off stunned. Once they associate you with that pepper any predator will flee upon sight. A predator that does not flee upon sight should be reported to Rangers. Most states keep a log of familiar predators that could end up on cull list. Once deployed an area can become difficult to remain in. Where to carry?... anywhere N or West of Iowa such as N Minnesota to clear a camp of a bear. Generally Bears flee until you get into the more aggressive bears out west. Big cats from Dakota Parks west. Anywhere there are canyons prepare for Big Cats. This WILL stop a curious Big Cat. A big stick can work also. Once they get hit w spray, they won't mess with humans again which will help protect them from you.

Bought this when preparing for a trip to Montana. Turns out it is a MUST HAVE in that area and every store within the area sold it. Since I planned ahead, I was able to get it here for a fraction of the price. It came with an information booklet for how to use it, where to use it and how to carry it. I didn’t need to use it so I can’t review that, but I felt safer knowing I had it if needed.

It is the only stuff I buy anymore. It’s LOUD, pushes back into your hand with force. REAL REACH. And don’t try to walk through the area later that day. I tied rags to my barbed wire perimeter fence corners so every time I enter I know the wind direction at least outside the building.

I haven’t had any bear encounters but have sprayed the product wearing goggles and still felt a slight burning sensation around my eyes which tells me this spray is very potent and should be very effective if needed.

先ずはすぐに使用する事は無いと思うので見た目だけの評価になってしまいますが本物の輸入品の様です 使用期限は２０２９年の１２月となっていました。少し先まで使えそうなのでホッとしています。 透明のフィルムに包まれているので剝がしてみると少し刺激臭が有り使った時の臭いのイメージは湧きました。 保険と思っているので使用せずに済めばいいと思います また、お守りとしても熊に出会いそうな場所へ行く時に持っていく準備として必要と思っています

今使っているのが１００ML入りで使用期限が来たので購入しましたが、容量が倍に飛距離が倍近く、ヒグマに対応安心感が増しました。使用期限2029年12月までで４シーズン使えます。ただホルダーが硬くて出しずらいので、別に購入しました。

以前購入してものが、効果なさそうだったので、信頼できる物を買い直しました。色んなYouTubeで試されており、これなら信用できると感じたので、購入しました。安くは無いですが、高くも無い、妥当な所だと思います。 ホルスターは結構頑丈で、簡単に落ちたりはしません。

判ってはいたが、あっという間に空になります。クマでは無いが外の大きなゴミ箱に動物が入り込んでいたのでこまめに噴射したが、動物が飛び出す頃には重さで三分の一になっていた。動物はイタチであった。噴射後は臭いも凄く、もう寄り付かなくなったのはよかった。 15000円の白主体のスプレーも使ったことがあるが、あちらの方が臭い、刺激共に上だと感じる。やはり値段だけの価値はあると感じた。
