BBTac BT59 Airsoft Sniper Rifle Bolt Action Type 96 Airsoft Gun, with 3-9x40 Rifle Scope & Aluminum Bipod

I bought this airsoft gun because I needed a sniper rifle to use as a dmr in airsoft games and I do have to say I'm surprised with the performance of this peticular gun. It has a high fps (450-500), it's really accurate from good distances, and the scope is really nice once you get it sighted in which doesn't take too long. There is the first safety which is located near the bolt handle and there is also a trigger safety that is integrated in the the trigger so that you can't pull the trigger back unless it is pulled too. Also the front tri-rail (all rails are picatinny rails) is very sturdy and holds the bipod on very tightly once you get th bipod on, also it's detachable which is a plus. So in conclusion: Pros: good fps, easy to put together, durable, safe, accurate, nice scope, nice bipod, metal magazine, free carrying strap, speed loader and bb's. Cons: scope rings have to be put on scope but this isn't really much of a hassle.

this gun is very accurate and is more than i expected it to be. it has a very good bolt, not to stiff and not too easy to pull back. the weight on it is not front heavy and not back heavy either but it is hefty. it shoots at about 400 fps with .20 gram bbs (which i recommend). the bolt, barrel, bipod, and trigger are all metal but the body is made of a very durable plastic. the scope is amazing and you won't need to replace it. i was at first concerned with the gun because of the low price and i had never heard of it before, but when i compared it with my friends WELL L96 we both agreed mine was better. over all this is truly one of the best airsoft guns i have ever seen and i recommend it to beginners and mainly mid entry airsoft players.

The gun looks and feels nice, but has some durability problems due to internal plastic parts. Owned since Dec 2014. I bought this for my 10 yr old son for Christmas in 2014. The gun has a mostly metal upper for barrel, bolt action and polymer plastic handle/grip. I gave my son a thorough gun safety lesson (as any Parent should do!) and continue to coach him with the gun and he has done well in learning how to use it. Now a year later he can use it on his own and he does so safely in our back yard. He has owned this for a little over a year now, and probably shot over 20 shooting session now. Unfortunately the plastic piston inside the spring broke recently. I am disappointed in why BBTac chose to use plastic in such a high tension spot where something metal would have been the right call here. I am looking for a replacement METAL part now.

Received it just now!!! Very easy to assemble(around 10 minutes if you don't mess up XD) First of all its pretty powerful and i love the design of this gun. Feels very smooth. The bi pod is full metal same with the scope. The scope is very accurate. Since the gun is pretty heavy and sturdy, makes it feel like your holding a real gun :D. Anyways i am very pleased with this product. I would recommend it to anyone!

the gun's construction is overall very solid, it has a fully metal bore and trigger mechanism and a solid buttstock. the scope is easy to use and the gun feels and looks very real. one downside is that it doesnt come assembled, however a manual written primarily in (what i believe to be) chinese with broken english subtitles explains loosely how to put it together, however like i said before you barely even need it if you have a decent knowledge on guns. the bolt feels smooth when you pull it back, and i havent experienced any problems with it. overall, this was a good purchase the only downsides to this gun are as follows: one- its quite hard to fix the hop-up (it will show you how in the manual) two- the instructions arent very specific and you will find it very hard to assemble if you dont have experience with firearms three- the bipod that came with it looks quite rigid, but after attaching it i found that it's wobbly, which could mean the difference between hit or miss if you're shooting long range. four- the FPS is quite low for such an expensive gun, it's only about 420 FPS which is mediocre compared to other airsoft snipers of it's price range. i would reccomend this to someone who knows basic firearm safety and knowledge as a trainer, however if you're trying to use it for varmin hunting dont expect a kill every time. i will most likely update this review as time goes on and i get to use the rifle more

this is a very good looking and great functioning airsoft rifle. i just received it today, and put it together in about 5 minutes. it shot very accurate before i zeroed the scope. i recommend .20 gram or .25 gram bb's, anything heavier makes it to weak. it shoots about 420 fps with the .20 gram bb's. to let you know when you receive it, the screws to attach the barrel to the body are in the stock already, just put the barrel in the correct spot, get the allan wrenches and screw it together. one is behind the trigger guard, and the other two are before and after the area the clip goes in. overall this gun is great.

Great AirSoft gun! Our first AirSoft gun. Easy to assemble. Shoots great. Bolt action is smooth. Directions were a little hard to follow, but I'm a mechanical guy so we were able to get it together just fine. Had it a few months now and it's been great. Keep in mind that this is a full size realistic rifle. I bought it for a 10-year old, and it's a little big for him. He's adapted well, though, and shoots it often.

This gun is a complete waste of money. Please do not risk getting unless you have $100 to throw away. As many other reviewers have complained, the gun falls apart within minutes of use. Several separate parts have broken off in normal use. The first things didn't render the gun unusable, but the last item to break was the safety, which now prevents the gun from firing at all. We have only used this for 2 days! In case you are wondering, it was used properly and in no way was the damage caused by rough or careless use. Now it appears to be impossible to return so we are stuck with an expensive useless piece of garbage. BUYER BEWARE!
