AccessHD 1050-D Digital to Analog TV Converter with Remote

Years ago there was this new thing that came out called "cable tv".It had NO commercials and you didn't have to use those "rabbit ears" you had to adjust, for good reception on the top of your set.Now, cable tv is "pay for it" tv.So, in order to get free tv, you have to buy this converter box, wich means you might have to adjust your rabbit ears on occasion or when you change the channel.The weather might also interfear with it,s reception quality.This is how antenna tv used to be, only now, the snow is "digital snow".These boxes work well but you have to be carful about them overheating.Make sure they are getting good air circulation and are not on top af an already quite warm, amplifierAbout the sound going "slow". Change the channel and then return to the channel you wanted. This seems to clear the occasional slowed "low" sound.I have had good luck with these converters but I have found that they are overpriced at a lot of the local retailers.That said, purchasing one from a "on-line" store seems to be an excersize in frustration.Be careful of sellers return/exchange policies.Some will charge you all shipping costs involved with exchanging a defective decoder and can end up costing the same as an expensive one (all in all) from a local retailer.I went to get a defective replacement and found that the shipping costs were going to be more than the converters price, entirely.Instead, I am returning the defective box for a full refund.This means, after shipping, 3 of the four boxes, have cost me 3$36.00 each after shipping.The one I was going to exchange would have cost $54.00 but returning for a full refund, makes the 4th one costed $18 extra (add $6.00 to each box).$42.00 is still $23.00 less than wally world or sears.

This is the only product like this that I have ever used. It was easy to install and once I got the language changed from Spanish to English I was finally able to test the funtionality. The pictures I recieve are not all that clear (nothing like the antenna signal that goes through my dishnet reciever). The product doesn't pick up WTVH and I suspect it is a combination of a bad signal and possibly weak processing inside this unit. It's hard for me to give a fair review because all I can compare it to is my Dishnet reciever which is recieving the same antenna signal.

I like this New 1050 box I bought along with the 1080 HD Box a few days ago. I am learning about the (Secondary Audio) Made in the HD DTA Converter Boxes! I am still right now trying to make my Audio work through my tv and converter box While I am Writing this Review! I will Not Give Up and When I get it Fixed I will be back On Amazon Telling You All How I fixed the Audio connected to My TV And This Spacific 1050 Converter Box! It can be fixed! I Beleive it!

The look is great, considerably smaller than I thought it would be; however for two years I've owned a LED TV that does not pull in Channel 2 (CBS) which is why I purchased this. I still can't get that station, and other stations often function staticky/pixel breakup, crackling dialog etc.. So for my intended use, the product did not measure up. It's now Oct. 2013 and there's been NO change. Perhaps its because I have it on an Analog TV and the conversion to Digital is not working, but unfortunately when you 'state in the Amazon Search box that you WANT Analog to Digital - Amazon gives us 90% digital to Analog and NOT what we 'specifically' requested and I feel this was/is misleading because this product is not working. I have not experienced any overheating, and I do not store it on top of other electrical units.

I picked it up sept.18th and being that it was for a relative, they set it up on a rainy day of all days, and there was no interferance at all. I have a different converter and when it rains there's alway some kind of interferance the majority of the time. It's wonderful and I'm pleased. I'm thinking of getting one for myself and I will be telling other's about how well it operates.

I like it because it is small in size , easy to find and does'nt take too much space on top of the TV, its a cute little thing that every one asks me what it is, most TV Converter are twice the size if not bigger, I am happy with it...

This was pretty inexpensive and my RCA quit working already so ordered 2. One set up with no problem the other had great picture but no sound. I moved it to 3 tv's and on the last one it worked great. Slower loading than the RCA was but otherwise just fine.

I chose this box because it wasn't the lowest rated or cheapest, nor was it the most highly rated or most expensive. I don't watch much tv, and just wanted a simple solution to a simple problem.This piece of JUNK is not it. It picked up TWO channels, when connected to a super, duper, high powered antenna, AND it overheated within minutes of being plugged in.JUST SAY NO, and get a better product. It's worth it in time (returns, waiting on shipping, etc.), and you'll be watching tv a whole heckuva lot sooner.
