Great press
I love that the press has 4 adjusting screws that can distribute the pressure evenly. The stainless steel screws / springs along with the quality body material are easy to clean. Simple easy to use.

Really liked this. Easier than pan method. I researched them for a bit like a nerd. Buy this one.

Tofu press
Is is the first tofu press I have ever had. Pressed with cutting boards and a heavy Is is much more convenient, can refrigerate while it drips into a bowl. Very sturdy. Can put in the dishwasher but just as easy to rinse off.

Other options might be easier...
I returned it..... IMO & for my uses it was more trouble than it was worth. The idea of the 4 screw downs sounded good to make it level but it was rather a hassle to have to screw each down and then back up. I decided I’d go with using either my cast iron bacon press or a brick wrapped in foil as better for my uses. Some folks just use a plate and stack whatever on top to weight it down as much as the type of tofu they are using needs.

Makes tofu pressing so much easier
Only issue is that most tofu blocks are just a tad big to fit into this press. Aside from that, this press works like a charm. You can easily find longer bolts if you want to go to the trouble as these use typical hardware item threaded bolds with 1/4-20 threads. Any hardware store has these. The spring action is the key to how well these work. Opposing springs control the pressure while the tofu's consistency can vary without affecting operation. I've suffered for years trying to press tofu and this turned my years of suffering to worry-free ease of use. Bravo.

Not worth it
Looked like a good idea, but not so much. Awkward to use and didn't accept thicker slabs of tofu easily. Finally, the item I received had clearly been returned before being sold to me: missing parts (washers), partially assembled, missing directions, and flecks of previous packaging scattered about. I returned it.

Sturdy, best tofu press we have owned
This is sturdier than the last 2 tofu presses we owned. I don't find the 4 screws annoying, but I tend to start pressing several hours before I cook and just slowly increase the pressure over time. It fits perfectly in a large flat bottom 'popcorn' bowl we got from the dollar store.
