In 2010, after 25 years of success, Simply Red announced their decision to disband and took the band on a final tour of the world - a celebration of all that they have achieved, and a final Fare-well to the band's many fans. To mark the end of Simply Red's career we have the pleasure of releasing on Blu-ray one of the band's final gigs on this tour, filmed against the spectacular backdrop of the iconic Sydney Opera House. Excellent Concert !
This was not only the best Simply RED concert, all of the songs were excellent and more importantly, the sound quality was excellent.

Disappointed
If you are excited that the dvd is Blu-ray formatted so you can insert it in your player, turn you HGTV on, and turn up your surround sound speakers to get the effect that you are sitting right there, forget about it. It’s not going to happen. The quality was grainy, not bad but it was there. However, I will accept it because it because it is SIMPLY RED! Excellent to listen to just the same.

Buy it in DVD!
Nice concert, but a little below my expectations specially considering the occasion and to the youtube videos of the last concert in London... Poor video quality for a BluRay; I would say that buying it in DVD would give you the same sound/video quality for a better price!

Average videotape
The concert itself is good. Simply red never let's you down, but goodness...for a blue ray disc is much better video-quality to expect. This brd doesn' even meassure up with an average videotape as most of us played 20 years ago and longer...London, Cuba and Sicaly are much better options. I am afraid I will not put this on very often.

POOR VIDEO QUALITY!!!!!!!......DONT BUY IT.
Not even close to a DVD quality! Just forget this "BLURAY", and buy the DVD format one. Hope the Sicily Concert comes soon on BluRay!

Poor Quality BLU-RAY !
I just wanted to add my name to what must be a very long list of dissapointed buyers of: Simply Red: Farewell - Live in Concert at Sydney Opera House (on Blu-Ray) it is without a doubt the worst quality Blu-Ray not even close to DVD, quality more like VHS ! Still and always will be a huge fan of Simply Red and Mick !

Fue formado en 1984 por el cantante Mick "Red" Hucknall (nacido Michael James Hucknall el 8 de junio de 1960 en Mánchester), quien contó para ello con tres ex miembros del grupo Durutti Column: Tony Bowers (n. 31 de octubre de 1952) al bajo, Chris Joyce (n. en Mánchester el 11 de octubre de 1957) a la batería y Tim Kellett (n. en Knaresborough el 23 de julio de 1964) al teclado; además con Sylvan Richardson (guitarra) y Fritz McIntyre (n. en Birmingham el 2 de septiembre de 1956) al teclado. Se despidieron el 19 de diciembre de 2010 con un concierto en el O2 Arena en Londres, trasmitido en directo a distintos cines a lo largo del Reino Unido.

il concerto nudo e crudo in blu ray. Di extra c'e' solo un'intervista molto superficiale sul concerto. La qualita' e' buona all'altezza del blu ray anche se in molte scene le immagine sono "sgranate" per via della poca luce. Il menu e' buono, con la selezione diretta dei brani con il titolo. Audio stereo pcm e 5.1 HD. Contiene una ventina di brani con i piu' famosi, ben eseguiti da una band numerosa. In sostanza un prodotto ridotto all'osso senza niente extra, ma ben fatto.

This Simply Red is a great Blue Ray concert! I enjoyed this immensely. Remember that Mick is older in this concert (recorded in Sydney in 2010), as compared to the Simply Red HOME Live in Sicily (recorded in 2003). I did like the Simply Red HOME DVD better. He's younger and he just belts it out and his voice in both of these concerts is incredible. I just preferred the HOME DVD to this one but, I bought both!! If you love Simply Red, you won't be disappointed by either one. He indicated in the interview on this Farewell Blue Ray, that he is moving on from Simply Red and has written 12 other songs that are nothing like Simply Red. So, this Farewell concert becomes even more important to have, I think. I didn't know this and he could have released more music in his own name, I'm not sure. I will be looking for that because, Mick's voice, talent and style is one of my very favorites.
