Pleasantly surprised with this. Well made and finished with a truck bed type coating. Came with all the fasteners to get the job done, although I did use my own in one place. I did not mount this over my fairlead, with this I was able to mount it in a very convenient place for me. I did not use the knobs provided but went with some M6x1.0 button head fasteners. I can see why you"d want the knobs if mounted over your fairlead, this does not flip up. The knobs provide a quick detachment point to get at your winch cable. I'd probably stick with the button heads anyway. Overall a good product, especially for the price.

I had to purchase a separate Winch Lead as this “universal” bracket does not work with the Badlands Winch that was on this Jeep Wrangler when purchased. The description of working on all these vehicle models/manufacturers is misleading as they do not manufacture the Winch or Leads used for the Winch Rope. The description should describe what Winch Leads it is compatible with, not what vehicle. I will say the bracket itself is excellent, seems to be well made and easily installed, although no instructions of any kind are provided.

Good product functions well great to deal with

Solid product, comes with necessary hardware, definitely sturdy. As others have mentioned, this will not fit over the Smittybilt XRC logo as intended, so I had to get creative because I wasn’t willing to fork over double the money for the bracket made by my bumper manufacturer. Was easy to use the existing bolt holes in my bumper and do an under mount, then tightened the side bolts so that the bracket doesn’t flip up. Just put it on last night so not sure if it will move with time (it’s a Jeep, everything gets loose) but much better solution than the alternative.

Installed on an ARB Bumper. Used some washers and existing holes on bumper. Tight and very sturdy for driving off road, which I do weekly at least. Awesome product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great upgrade, well built and easy install.

The bracket and hangers are solid; I suspect it may be heavier than necessary, but despite a few bends, it functions decently. It is very definitely not rustproof as the image in the description claims; I failed to grab a photo before repainting it, but after a few years in Maine, a significant amount of the factory finish was no longer attached and there was a lot of surface rust. The thumbscrews are also not particularly great when exposed to road salt. I broke the tops off attempting to remove them and have instead switched to plastic machine screws; in the event I need to access the winch and the screws are stuck, I can just break them (but hopefully they won't be as likely to get fixed in place by corrosion). Unfortunately, the 2.4" depth doesn't accommodate my Factor55 hook, but I was able to create a bit more space by using a couple of pieces of scrap steel to extend the bracket away from the truck.

This was the best licensec relocation kit I could find for the Roadmaster spare tire carrier # 195125 for Honds CRV AWD Hybrid sport touring. With some modifications it worked out well. Some reviewers had complained of the two parts coming about because of the stock bolts. So, I drilled hole through the connecting stem and attached a U hitch and pin to the two parts together see pics. I also drilled three holes at 12, 1 and 7 o' clock positions to match the lug nut holes on the RM #195125 spare tire mount. I like the LED lights top part of the back license plate mount. The lights are not outrageously bright nor are they dim. The brightness comes out about right.
