I didn't remember seeing it in the description but a multi-colored pen was included; it looks a bit cheap but to my surprise most of the ink colors flow smoothly & write strong. (Red and orange are iffy.) The paper in the binder is pretty flimsy/tears easily (and is unlined - I may have gotten my products mixed up but I thought it was going to be lined), but all in all it's a lovely little organizer.
