It was very wet in a way that the fresh salmon that I have bought elsewhere never is. the texture was also not as good as the fresh fish I have purchased elsewhere. I won't be buying it again. **Q: Where does this come from? what do you mean atlantic farm? where is the farm? and why do you not tell us? would like the buyer or prime to answer?** A: When I've asked in the store they say it has US or Canadian fish farm sources. But I think the "Atlantic" refers more to the species than the location of the farm. **Q: Why is it so expensive? I currently pay 7.99 for 2lbs.** A: 7.99 for 2 lbs definitely not a domestic salmon ran a fish market for 36 year's who knows we're that salmon comes from and what type of salmon it is not for me I always found Scottish in farm raised to be a better one and wild fresh caught king Salmon in season now **Q: Can you specify Center Cut pieces? And to have salmon skinned too** A: You can only specify center cut in store, not online for pickup or delivery. Ever. *by R***H on July 6, 2025* This salmon was freaking phenomenal!! Holy crap. I don't care if it's farm raised this is the best tasting salmon I've ever had in my entire life. Yes it does have a fishy smell BEFORE you cook it, cause well...it's a fish. It's super buttery and doesn't have any off-putting overly pronounced salmon flavor. The portion I received was a center cut and I was very pleased with my Whole Foods shopper, (they're not all great but I got really lucky this time). The filet is incredibly fresh and could easily be used as a sushi grade ingredient and again the buttery-ness was insanely good.
