Does the job...but really need to use with a drill press
I wanted a 50mm shallow hole in some wood. Bought this item and it works ok but really needs to be used with a drill press so both bit and workpiece are firmly held. Using it with a cordless handheld drill is troublesome. No matter how careful you are the bit tends to dig into the wood and wrench the drill out of your hands or the workpiece out of its clamps. In the end I made a 50mm dia guiding ring from some 9mm plywood using a hole cutter and clamped it to the workpiece...then run the bit at fairly high revs... but very gently does it

Nicely does it job.
It's a very good tool, does the job fast and gives a clean cut. Good price, good quality.

not bad
decent bits however difficult to get startet straight and online as the centre of the drill isnt long enough in my opinion, proffesonal tradesman.

Very good
I bought this to drill the ends of logs so i can mount them in a chuck on a lathe instead of turning between centres. Wasnt really sure how well it would do as i work with some very hard wood logs. Have to say it does the job very well. Used it a few times now and its just as sharp now as when it out the box.

Adequate for my job
I bought the 50mm bit. I used this to just make circular recesses in oak. I did use a drill stand with my electric drill, and wouldn't drill with this size of bit without the drill and timber properly secured. The hole was not as neat as I would have liked, but that might have been to do with the fact that my current electric drill does not have an adjustable speed dial (though electronic speed control, which is no good on a drill stand), so was cutting at too high a speed. (I must get a new switch for my old bosch drill which was perfect in the drill stand. For some things older tools are better than the new 'improved' versions! )

Nach Erhalt in Weichholz mehrere Löcher gebohrt. Sehr gut. Dann in eine Baumscheibe (härteres Holz) ein Loch gebohrt mit dem Ergebnis, dass der Bohrer stumpf wurde. Jetzt hat er auch in Weichholz Probleme. 2 Sterne wegen dem günstigen Preis.
