Updated: Best gift idea EVER
***UPDATE: The seller quickly contacted me to address my issues with this Robo Fun Unicorn. Let me tell you, this seller is passionate about their customer service and appreciate every idea! They sent a brand new unicorn out to me not even a week after my original review which stated the issues I was having with the remote. While the remote itself could be better, the new unicorn and remote they sent me controls both the old unicorn and the new one! (At the same time, in case anyone with two girls was wondering about purchasing two; I am unsure if theres a way to change the frequency at which the remotes work to be controlled separately.) Either way, this toy is AMAZING and SO MUCH FUN. PLUS ITS SO AFFORDABLE! Your child (or any child) will love this as a gift, no matter their age. I am so glad there are sellers on Amazon that actually stand behind their products, regardless of when a review is posted or when a problem presents itself. I've had pretty bad luck with other purchases on here, luckily this seller made my daughter and I completely satisfied. 😃❤ Original Rating: 3 stars I bought this for my 5 y/o daughter's Christmas present. She wanted one of those name-brand robot unicorns that don't do anything except make noise. I was SO excited when I found this, and the reviews were pretty mixed so I thought it would be worth a shot. She loves this thing, but when it arrived I knew I was gonna test it out but I also had to do something with the messy hair of the mane, it was literally the worst boxed-presentation of a toy that I've ever seen. I didn't take a picture of that, but as you can see I braided it which wasn't hard. It came with a charger that plugs into the mouth, where the "treats" also plug into. The treats have photos of commands on them, and if you click the horn on the unicorn it has three modes- 1) follow/remote 2) obstacle 3) treats/command. I REALLY wish it had a better remote. So this unicorn has a dance button on the remote that is pretty cool, basically the only function of the remote that works all the time. The light on the top part doesnt even glow like it should, just the one random button like shown in the photos. The buttons are extremely hard to press, and most of the time they get stuck on the inside. The remote was the whole reason I got this. I dont know if I just got a crappy remote or if everybody has the same issues, but its still a pretty cool toy. In the first mode it will follow your hand, in the second mode it will dodge things in the way (kinda) and the third mode you make it do certain things in order, but the treats are pretty difficult for my child to get into the slot of the mouth. It seems fragile like if she doesnt line it up perfectly it will break.

Extremely cute!!! And it's very cool!
This robot unicorn is very very cool! and i love the cute face, hair, and horn! my grandmother got this for me and my sister's early bday present and we both loved it! my sister named her unicorn Rosie and i named mine Blossom. i am surprised how cheap it is, i think my grandmother thought the same too. we both braided Rosie and Blossom's hair and we played with them most of the days, i like how you can program them to do certain moves with the treats! we were always disappointed when it was time to charge them, but my sister made a bed out of a cardboard box and put a blanket in it for me and her so Rosie and Blossom could lay in that bed like their sleeping while they were charging! and i like the three modes, the first mode the unicorns eyes turned blue, thats casual mode and you just use the cute pink remote control to move the unicorn (my sister loved the "DANCE" button) or you could use your hand cuz the unicorn has sensors in their eyes and they sense your hands and they just follow your hands, the second mode is the adventure mode (their eyes turn red) and they just wander off and they use their sensors to sense if they are about to run into a wall, and the last mode is the feeding mode (purple eyes) and the robots come w/ treats and each treat has a move and you feed the unicorn treats in order you want and it remembers all the moves and when your done it starts dancing with the moves you fed them! but i have to warn you, do not let the unicorn robots to go on the carpet. once Blossom walked on the carpet for only 3 minutes and then when i let her go on the hard floor, only one wheel was working, when i put her on adventure mode, she just goes in circles and nothing else cuz hair was stuck in the wheel and was really hard to get out. then Rosie got hair stuck in her wheel too and stopped being able to move right. we were disappointed but it IS our fault that we let them go on the carpet but i wish there was a warning on the box. we are returning it tomorrow and getting a new one but thats all i will say in this review, Bye!

Unicorn pets come alive
This is so cute! The unicorn walks around and follows your hand motions. Super fun for kids and stays charged for a long time.

Great christmas gift!
These r the cutest things! The small one needs batteries while the larger one charges (throught its mouth lol). Had to take time to charge the bigger unicorn before being able to play with it though. Easy enough to use, my 5yr old loves it! And the sounds they make is not over the top or too annoying.

Great quality robo-toy!
This toy is fabulous! I love that there is the programming mode. Both of my girls got one for Christmas so they could use the treat tricks and program them to do the same moves simultaneously.

Promising Toy, Has Some Problems
This toy has a lot of potential. It's playful, does a lot of actions, and is just fun. I got this for my 3-year-old niece for her birthday, and she did like it... for a couple of minutes until she lost interest. That said, there are some issues that lowered this toy's score. First, I think this toy is too advanced for most 3-year-olds, and the minimum age is more like 4 or 5. My niece mostly just wanted to hold it and brush its hair, not use the controller to move it around or do actions. She didn't understand that she shouldn't pick up the item while it's trying to move because doing so can damage the toy and mess up its sensors. She didn't understand what makes the unicorn move (certain hand gestures, feeding it a bone, using the controller). She got a little scared when she tried to feed it a bone and the unicorn starting chasing her fast. Additionally, the controls and sensors are clunky and don't always work easily. The horn is the biggest problem because it sticks and it's hard to get it to move. You have to pull on the horn to turn the toy on/off and to change the various "modes," but you have to pull hard and at just the right angle. The controller was mostly intuitive and most of the buttons worked, but some did not. Again, sometimes you have to point the controller at just the right angle for the toy to respond. The unicorn is also supposed to move in response to hand gestures, but that feature just flat-out doesn't work. The only time the unicorn will move in response to your hand is if you feed it a bone by plugging it into its mouth. Finally, the controller doesn't come with AAA batteries, and trying to open it up is a big PAIN. The toy comes with a small screwdriver that's supposed to open up the back of the controller, but the screwdriver is too small and weak and I couldn't open it after spending 20 minutes trying. I was finally able to open up the controller with my own screwdriver that was slightly bigger. Overall, kinda disappointed with this purchase. It's a promising toy and my niece liked it OKAY, but it's not amazing. Again, I think 3-year-olds are too young for it, but 4 and 5 would be perfect. The price is a little high given the technical problems with the toy.
