Great little chef’s knife
I really like this knife. It’s just the right size for chopping fruits and vegetables. It has a quality blade, and is balanced nicely. The handle just fits well in my hand. I’ve used it for over a year and it is still as sharp as the day it arrived. Couldn’t be happier with it. Highly recommend!

A well rounded knife
The knife feels good. It is well weighted and easy to handle. While I do not have a problem with slipping, I can see why for others it maybe a problem. I personally do not care for the indent on the handle because that is generally not where I hold knives. I place my grip it further up onto the knife, on the blade and right before the bolster, holding it between the thumb and the index finger. (Look up how to hold a chef knife) So for me I don't think whether it is left handed or right makes a difference or not really anymore slippery than another knife. A fairly sharp knife out of the box, as with any knife from the factory, however you should sharpen it to get a much sharper edge. It can hold its edge for a while with moderate use at home. It doesn't hold as long in everyday restaurant use, of course, but its edge outlast most of the other knives my coworkers have.

Superb knife
The knife is extremely nice; the handle is ergonomic (for right-handed people only!), the balance is great, and the knife is visually appealing. The tsuchime finish allows "sticky" foods like potatoes to slide off the knife much easier than a smooth-sided knife. I will say that out of the box the blade wasn't quite as sharp as I was expecting, however a few passes over a ceramic hone cleaned it right up.

Built only for Right-Handers
The handle is built to accommodate a right-handed person. Feels terrible as a lefty.

not made for chopping by big hands but for my 13 year old, its a great utility knife for slicing. nice balance too.

Overall Global Sai Review
I purchased a set of the Sai knives, so this is an overall review. The knives are beautiful, nicely weighted and sharp. Because of their satin finish, the knives are more slippery when they are wet or your hands are slippery than many other knives or the global classic. (The first thing I did was wash the knife and while it was wet, it slipped out of my hand and I cut myself). The blade will cut whatever it touches. If you have a weak grip, then this could be a problem. The knife has an indentation on the left side for the thumb of right handed users but not on the left side. This makes it less comfortable to hold with your left hand but very comfortable for right handed people. So far, the knives are working well. I am taking extra precautions to make sure the knife does not slip out of my hand.

Coltello fantastico, come tutti i global, consigliatissimo. Certo si paga il marchio, non è un prodotto di nicchia, nel senso che non è un coltello giapponese artigianale, comunque sia molto valido, anche perché la cifra di acquisto è molto alta.
