Buy with confidence, 100% Genuine & OEM for Hero Black 5, 6, 7, & 8!
I was really not sure since there were mixed reviews of one, whether it is compatible with Hero 5 Black, and two, if it was a genuine GoPro battery.Well, buy with confidence, since both the above apprehensions and doubts were put to rest. I received mine today. Opened it, charged it, and used it.It is a 100% genuine OEM battery and is made for Hero 5 Black (2018), Hero 6 Black, Hero 7 Black, and Hero 8 Black.Very Good Seller, will definitely deal with him again!

Packaging must be redesigned... Product does the job well...
Without a question as it is a Gopro product it does it well what it is suppose to do... But Gopro really needs to consider resign its packaging... It's size similar to your index finger and your middle finger... But its comes in a box which is a size of your whole palm... Thats alot of wastage of paper...

Genuine go pro battery
Initially I thought this might be a duplicate product as this a new model and was not sure if go pro released this in new added colour. Moreover this price is less than the older models. Also there were very few reviews on this.But as there is a return option, I ordered it and found it is a genuine product. I tested this by inserting in my go pro hero 7 black, it charged well and working fine.Attached image as well for reference

Horrible battery degrading
Ordered this battery in 2022. A year later it has expanded and is unusable. Money wasted. Wish there was some way to get a replacement.

I don't recommend to buy it from this supplier as the condition of the battery was not good
It's original but the battery I received was not in a good condition it looked like it was pressed in between.

Looks same but does not work in Hero 5
This Gopro battery is specially designed for HERO 6,7 & 8 Black and does not work with HERO 5 or 2018 model.Keep this in mind.I ordered for my Hero 5 as the other model was not available then and this was the newer model that was looking exactly same in design but it was not charging after inserting on my Gopro and it got hanged.So I removed it and returned the item.
