Does the "junior" matter?** A: I bought my 7 year old the jr and now wish I had opted for a bigger set. If you already have the 300, I would use that one. They sell an upgrade kit that takes the jr to a 300, so if you bought the jr and then gave the 300 to your child, you'd be duplicating half the kit. **Q: 6 year old** A: I am not sure if you are asking whether or not this is a good present for a 6 year old or not. But, my son is 6 years old and he absolutely LOVES this set. His 13 year old sister actually likes playing with it as well.
