Owned it for two years
This is a pretty nice radio. Reception is good and the sound is better than expected. The volume dial is a little touchy at lower levels. Some people don't like the blue light but it's just enough lighting to enhance the appearance. I like the charging light as well. It goes off when it's done charging. Other similar models don't offer that. You never know when or if they're charging. The only other drawback would be the tuning dial face. A little more contrast would be nice as I have to get pretty close to read it. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

Swap those LEDs, Prunus!
Prunus nailed the vintage look of those early 60's table model radios from the likes of Admiral, Zenith and RCA....the large tuning dial with magnifying circle, gold tone knobs, the crown emblem, the faux woodgrain veneer....it's a beautiful thing to behold.... ....and then you turn it on.....and are greeted with an accursed blue LED dial light! Profane!! This couldn't stand. I knew what had to be done. It was a moral imperative.... I fired up the trusty soldering iron, removed the back panel and voila! Two standard issue 5mm 3v LEDs...carefully removed those impostors and popped in two warm white beauties. Instant vintagey goodness!! All was right with the world again. The radio itself is a fine performer...local and distant FM stations were pulled in without a problem. As for AM, on a clear night, I'm able to lock in WGN in Chicago, CFZM in Ontario and WSM in Nashville...almost 850 miles from my home in upstate NY. Not bad. Shortwave performs well...even better with a long wire clipped to the antenna. Results will vary. The speaker is rated at 5 watts and produces a nice clear tone. All of this and the ability to stream your music through Bluetooth, an aux input, a TF card or USB....at this price point? It's a winner. Highly recommend!

Works great, TF card could be better though
Radio says the limit is a 32gb tf card which i have in it, though it doesn't play all the songs sadly. AM, shortwave, and FM all work great, bluetooth works great. It's awesome door old music, isn't that great for new stuff. Looks decent with my real antique radios and the cabinet itself is made of wood like MDF rather than plastic which is neat. The rechargeable battery works fine and holds a charge for a long time. It's definitely good for the price. If you do wanna try using shortwave, tuning it is pretty annoying since it cuts in and out when you turn the dial which you don't get on the other bands.

A regretful mix of great and not so great
Well the radio is certainly nice looking, beautiful to sit there as a piece of furniture. Classic old time radio appearance with the gold accents, sculpted logo and case. I especially liked the big tuning dial which is excellent- this radio gets more stations than many other mp3 players that are typically smaller than this. The handle is clever and surprisingly useful, and the layout is well designed with everything (mp3, usb) easily accessible. The sound is decent- not impressive, I would have expected at least more bass kick and resonance for a radio this size. Unfortunately the deal breaker for me was the thin spindly script of the numbers, which I could not read with my toric lenses even with the interesting magnifier. Why they chose this lettering is hard to guess. I also miss the satisfaction of an FM tuning light that pops on when you have the station dialed in the sweet spot, for some reason they didn't add this. These are small improvements that could made a good radio so much better. Unfortunately I found a smaller mp3 player with better sound and readability, so I had to return this it just didn't work for me.

It's a good little radio it's basic it's simple
I wasn't really impressed with the fact when you have the AC cord plugged in it deadens the AM radio signal but when you unplug it it has a full charge it will pull in signals 1000 plus miles away on AM radio shortwave is a dying medium but what there is for signals out there it seems to pull in a great distance away the audio to me is mediocre but for a portable radio that's about the norm overall it's a decent little radio

Happy Buy
I was looking for a radio that I could play in my kitchen with out static. For some reason it is hard to get good reception in certain rooms in my house, this radio solved the problem. I can get all my station even the ones that doesn't come in clearly on my old radio. The telescopic antenna helps. I like the fact that it has 3 ways to get power. It has a power cord so you can plug it into the wall, you can use regular batteries, and it has rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable batteries can be recharged by using the USB cable that comes with the radio or the AC power cord . The radio has 3 bandwidths, AM, FM, and SW , most radio that I looked at, comes only with FM band and I like to listen to AM too. Another great thing about this radio is that it has Bluetooth and you can control the phone or MP3 player with the buttons on top of the radio ( play/pause, previous, and forward). There are also slots for (USB) flash drive and TF cards. The play/pause, previous , and forwards buttons can be used for mode too. Another way which you can connect your MP3 or phone to the radio is with the auxiliary cable that comes with the radio. The portable radio is a nice size portable and the dial is easy to read.

Exactly what I wanted
It’s a very nice retro looking radio, love the look, the size. The volume is very touchy, gets loud with one little touch, but definitely not disappointed.

Love it.
Delicate controls, sensitive to tune…. Like the old one I had long ago. Shortwave in the US wasn’t a disappointment…. Weird super religious radio from around the world sounding like they are from a century ago. Shortwave is a dying thing and most broadcast are occasional and only at certain times, I heard African religious channels, as well as bad music from South America… AM is slightly better than shortwave, FM of course works as well as any modern radio- Bluetooth works very well perfect radio for the shop. I suspect I will buy several as Christmas gifts.

I love the look of this radio. I bought it for my office and right away it got lots of comments from my co-workers. I use the regular radio daily, but I've paired it to my phone a couple times too. Very easy to use and a cool, retro feel. The battery lasts for days. I turn the radio on in the morning when I get to work, and off when I leave. Every couple days I plug it in over night to recharge the battery. I could leave it plugged in all the time, but the radio station I like comes in with better reception if it's unplugged.

clear reception and looks great, but the volume dial is 'very' touchy! It's either too quiet or with a 'slight' move it is too loud

Great radio. The speaker is better than most radios that play USB flash drives at this price point. I gave this 4 stars only because I really don't know how reliable this will be over time. I've only had it for 2 weeks. I'm happy with it so far, but to be honest, I bought it primarily because it plays my USB flash drive with mp3 audio.
