Will this also work as a level sensor and turn the pump on to siphon off the excess water?** A: If rain is collected into a bucket and serves as a reservoir, I don't see why not! The level sensor is still used monitoring the sump water level and resides in the sump Just make sure the rain water reservoir always has water as the pump doesn't like to be run dry even though the genie has running modes to stop the pump if the sump is not filled up to the proper level after a set time. If the reservoir can be placed above the dump, then you can use the solenoid valve and gravity feed to satisfy top off the tank. That way, even though the reservoir is dry, the valve can be kept at open position until there is rain water to fill up the dump and close once the sump water level is detected by the water level sensor. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by P***E on July 15, 2017* It took me a bit to understand how to use this. Ditections were s bit confusing. But to make it easy. Once you get it set up. Just put the know to geinie. Thats it. I have it set up on a hydroponic garden. Basil. Not pot. And its been great. Adding water in gallons was annoying after a while. This made it eisier. I did mess up and set it on fill. And it did just that with out sopping. Down stairs neighbor was not happy. But now it is tweeked and working. It was a bit confusing setting it up with the reverse filter system. I made it so it stops the water before the first filter. Was not sure if it would be stong enough because the water comes out of the faucet. Woried about too much preasure. But it was fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and sounds like it's on the way out *by S***N on October 8, 2016* Very cost effective way to get into the ATO world. Haven't had any issues with the sensor or controller. I have had some issues with the included pump not wanting to work. I disassembled and cleaned. Same issue. The pump volume has increased significantly, and sounds like it's on the way out.Would like to see just the pump on Amazon. That way we could get a backup. I did email the company who said the replacement pump would be $15.00.All in all its a very good system, and has been running on our tank for about 8 months. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ heavy duty systems that are very easy to use and install *by D***D on March 5, 2016* I see there are no reviews on this product yet. I purchased two of these two months ago and had to write a review. They both have worked flawlessly in the 120 and 40 gallon reef tanks that I have. My water level has been very consistent. The only times that I have heard an alarm is when I do a water change and get the water level too high. It senses when there has been no pumping for awhile. I looked at the big name products and read reviews on forums. They all had problems with their chosen systems. I would not hesitate to purchase these again!
