I've had this device through a brutal North Eastern Illinois winter and now a crazy Ohio spring. I'm going to guess it has been frozen at least a couple dozen times if not more as I had all kinds of problems with heated water hoses freezing sewer pipes building up water dams and freezing so I couldn't trickle to keep the hoses from freezing etc. Probable spent a thousand dollars this winter trying to keep warm and keep water and sewer hings from freezing. This device, while one of the cheapest I bought getting through it all never failed. It still doesn't leak a drop, the on off levers operate smoothly and easily, and as these devices go this one is the nicest and longest lasting I've ever owned. It's worth twice what I paid for it and I highly recommend it.

Haven’t used it yet, but the build quality looks great. It feels solid and heavy, not cheap at all. Seems like good quality brass.

I changed this review from 2 stars to 3. I couldn't upgrade to 4 or 5 stars, because the product shouldn't have failed is such a short time in the first place. I have two of these. They both were working well, but after only one month, one of them failed by just falling apart on one side. The piece with the threading stayed in the hose when I unscrewed it. I got it out of the hose, but could not reattach it to the splitter. Now, I cannot screw a hose into it. I'm going to have to order a replacement, but I won't buy this same one again.

So buy without hesitation because they will take great care of you if you have any issues. Old review: This product leaks. I’m so disappointed. It seems to be a solid construction and it works great for the purpose I needed it. But it leaks when the main faucet is on, so I have to constantly turn it on and off, instead of only turning on and off the small dual valves, which is what I wanted to be able to do.

I bought two high-end hoses from Home Depot to attach to the male threaded ends of this splitter valve. One hose worked fine. The other hose leaked at the female connection to this splitter valve. I thought I had a bad hose. I went to the local ACE hardware store and bought another high-end hose and again, it leaked at the splitter to hose connection. I went to Lowe's and bought a super-high-end Never-Kink hose (which I own several of, and have never had a problem with) and also decided to spend $10 and buy a new splitter valve, JUST IN CASE. To make a long story short, I found that the splitter valve I ordered from Amazon and this provider was defective. All the hoses I bought were fine. In the photo I provided you can see that the thread pitch/count is different between the two male threaded outlet connections. Depending on how the photo is displayed, you can see how the top connection shows the threads as more flattened, while the bottom connection shows the threads coming to more of a point. Of the three redundant hoses I bought, they all sealed against the top connection that shows the thread as more flattened. None of them sealed on the bottom connection. FYI, I also used white teflon tape on the threads to ensure the seal. I'm sure 9 out of 10 times this product is fine, but I got the lemon and it cost me about $60 in additional hoses and about 2 hours of time in buying the new hoses, and returning them after finding out the defect was in the splitter I bought on Amazon.
