All day if possible. The longer they keep it on the better it works

I don't understand the use of the three pads. Can someone explain.? There are three different kind

You may not use all 3, but they are there to help the belly button stay in. Each one is designed different & may be determined by how your baby belly button is. For instance I used the small circle one in the beginning to get keep her belly in; then switched to the oval shape one cause it was more comforatble for her. Also I believe it kept her belly button in better to me. I hope this helps.

Can this go in washing machine?

Yes, I washed it several times and dry in the dryer. I bought two. I prefer hand wash and air dry only. Love this product it help my baby girl belly bottom to get back to normal.

Helped within 2 months

This little belt worked great. It is a good alternative to the tape a quarter advice. We figured it would be much easier and pleasant for our son to have this that to deal with tape being pulled off. This has three different sizes buttons to help gently push in the hernia. For use the results were quite fast . Within a month and a half we saw the hernia stay in on its own. We still keep it losely on him and will be switching to the flatter buttons. Overall we are extremely happy with the purchase ease of use and comfort it seems to provide our son.
