Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes: A Back to School Book for Kids

I got this book for my son as a back-to-school read, and it was such a hit. The story is fun, playful, and full of positive energy. Pete the Cat makes school feel exciting instead of scary, which is exactly what I wanted for him starting a new year. The illustrations are bright and engaging, and the rhythm of the story keeps kids interested the whole way through. Totally recommended for a kindergarten kid

I have taught Pre-K for the last four years, and I must say, what a delight to have found this book! This book will serve really well for the beginning of the year. We usually use The Kissing Hand, but I will be using this book as an intro to tour around the school. I love the moral of the story - that no matter what happens in life, it's "all good." The kids are going to love shouting "Goodness, no!" to the repetitive question "Does Pete worry?" I can see myself using that question during class when the children get into situations that make them feel sad or mad. :) I love how there is an MP3 to the book, with the song, on the publisher's site!! I also bought the doll too. Both Pete the Cat books will really kick start a new year of Pre-K with great attitude and fun! The illustrations are simple and colourful and pleasing to the eye. This book is definitely a treasure for Pre-K teachers!! The story is cute and engaging. Perfect for 3 and 4 year olds!

I could give these books a million stars. My nephew is autistic and while he's incredibly intelligent, reading is not his favorite subject, and he is falling behind. These books and their songs have made reading so fun for him that he can't put them down. I found out before Christmas that he had been borrowing one from school without telling anyone. Once I found that out I knew I had to get him his own books. I got him New School Shoes and Saves Christmas. Without a doubt I am going to have to buy more.

We absolutely love the Pete the Cat books in my classroom this was one of two that I first got the kids love it and the read along online. Definitely getting more.

My class love Pete. This is a great start of school year book for sharing. They love the YouTube animated version too and sing along.

Mis hijos son fan de Pete The Cat y todos sus personajes, este fue el primer libro que los acercó a ellos. Es un libro sencillo, viene en inglés, pero es cantado. En la página del autor pueden encontrar vídeos del propio libro así como la canción para poder cantar mientras leen. Muy recomendable.

A mi hijo le ha encantado el libro, lo compré con tapa dura porque estaba de promoción y fenomenal. Es el primer libro que compro de esta colección y ha sido un gran descubrimiento porque solemos escucharlo con la canción y mi peque de 3,5 años la canta y es una gozada escucharle. Lo recomiendo totalmente.
