Practical, easy to read, fantastic for new and veteran administrators alike. This book is highly recommended for all those needing and wanting to freshen their understanding of school budgeting.

I bought it for a class and we barely used it. So if you are a student at Lamar University Online Master's or Principal Certification program and they ask you to buy this you might consider holding off if you're in a bind. Parts of this book can be found online for free. That being said it is a great resource for a principal. Until the law changes, and we never know when that will be, it has some great information on budgeting, the process and the documentation of resources.

Small book, but easy to understand with attached case studies to further help in understanding themes. The case studies are great for discussion and application.

This book was required for the budgeting and finance class I took for my principal certification program. I highly recommend it because of the case scenarios provided at the end of each chapter. The budget coding example questions and scenarios were extremely helpful in introducing me to a school district budgeting process.
