Disappointed at best...
Afraid to open Iberico should not be almost black in color. I just spent 3 weeks in Spain. I Iberico is reddish/dark orange in color. Now I wish I tried to take some back to the US...this is very disappointing.

Not the same as in Spain.
I got this for myself since I do a lot of travel to Spain. The first thing you grab off the plane is an Iberian baguette. The fresh bread, cheese and ham just hit the spot. It was okay, but not like I get going through the airport. I'll have to try another package to make my final decision. A little high on price.

This is better than the ham!
I really was pleased with this Ibérico loin. It was fresh and the quality was great. An excellent intro to Ibérico pork products. Sweeter than the ham (jamón) and less nutty (acorn). I also liked the texture better - it’s a bit firmer and less oily. Closer to a pepperoni. Super yummy. I can’t imagine how it tastes freshly cut right off the leg!

Not as good as in the past.
I order this ham every year for New Year's Eve. It was not as good this time as it was last year. It was drier and had a slightly odd taste. Too much juniper, maybe?
